They are both in team with Herlings.

Someone from the inner circle told me its around two million, that is more than Jeffrey at HRC if the rumors about his salary are correct. At the end he will probably make more due to the nice bonuses, but its crazy how far Louis Vosters went to get Maxime Renaux to his team.

That will put Renaux in the pressure cooker just like Jago ...any news from Jago meanwhile ?

I think he will grow into the season and get some podiums eventually. Depends a bit on the form of Coenen, Herlings, Febvre, Gajser, Renaux.. I think some people underestimate Fernandez a bit as well. He was a bit under the radar this year, but I don't think he has hit his true potential yet

Yeah i mean Vialle was signed before Fernandez (long time it was HRC would only run 2).

I don't get the impression Vialle is a cheaper option so you take him first over Fernandez because you think he is an upgrade. With Fernandez being 4th in points, close to 10 top 3 finishes in the motos and a couple in the qualifying races as well the expectations for Vialle must be to better then that.

Vialle will be a podium contender every moto after a few races, I would say...

But not a podium contender for the championship in 2026.

If you look at the style of De Wolf in MX2 I think a 450 suits him much better and perhaps he'll get a bit 'calmer' on the 450 because the power is already there and he doesn't have to work as hard as on the 250...

De Wolf has been leapfrogged by Coenen, who by going MXGP in 2025 became the successor to Herlings at KTM group, and now he has been beaten by Langenfelder, he doesnt have to go up. BUT if he doesnt, and gets beaten again in 2026, either by Langenfelder, or Sacha Coenen, what does that do for his worth , 1 title in 6 attempts, (granted, he was young when he came up ) isnt a good look when you were supposed to be the next big thing , and the guy who came up behind you 'might' win MXGP in 2026.

Its very hard to fathom, but does KTM group get more value from him staying down to race Langenfelder and Coenen again, or move him up , to give them 2 shots at a 450 title, with Coenen on the KTM, or does Adamo get  that chance as he is aged out.

With Herlings going to Honda and Gajser at Yamaha, both having the opportunity to be off the pace early season, you need to have skin in the game, especially if Coenen gets hurt, you will be pissed up with riders in MX2 and watch the MXGP crown go uncontested from your team.

What i will say, is that MXGP with Herlings, Gajser, Febvre , Vialle, Coenen, De Wolf, Renaux all fit, with Vlaanderen, Fernandez, and Gifting etc, looks a far better prospect for a close championship than the AMA does at this point.

I would say that staying down and not winning it again, would be a disaster, more than being 5th or 6th in MXGP.

Adamo won't turn 23 until August 2026, so he still has one more year in MX2 (if he wants / can).

On the other hand, anything but the title will mean / feel like another lost season for Coenen, as there's starting to show a pattern: he was the fastest and won the most in EMX250 2022, but didn't win the title. He was the fastest and won the most in MX2 2024, but didn't win the title. He was the fastest and won the most in MXGP 2025, but didn't win the title.

He has to break that pattern rather sooner than later, because if he decides to go Stateside in 2027, he'll arrive there without winning anything (so to speak) and to win a title in the US straightaway isn't evident either.

I agree on what you’re saying, but this year wasn’t that pattern at all, he was right up to speed. Only his arms/wrists injury kept him off for the first 2-3 races.

At the start of the 2022 and 2024 season he didn’t had an injury if I’m correct?

No injuries that I know of, but losing valuable points on critical moments is indeed a pattern in his career so far.

2025: Ofcourse he started in Argentina with his injuries, and it was very uncertain if he could start the season at all, so that was a win in a certain way. Crashing in the mud of Castilla la Mancha while racing in second place trying to attack Gajser instead of keeping it cool and go for guaranteed points, DNF in Sardegna after winning the first race, off-weekends at Sweden and China. He came 39 points short on Febvre.

2024: DNF's in Argentina and Trentino, off-weekends at Portugal and Switzerland. He came 20 points short on De Wolf.

2022: Started the season with 0 points (DNF-22) at Mantova, DNF's in France and Sweden. He came 33 points short on Elzinga.

That could've been 3 titles, but he has none. No shame ofcourse, he did great and he's the most talented rider Belgium had in many many years, but he could've won it without those mistakes. Or maybe, if I'm harsh, he should've won. Ofcourse, it's a fact you can't win everything every year, but still. I think those are missed opportunities.

But if Coenen win the MXGP world championship next year, then he will be forced to start his american SX career directly in the big boys category (450). Would be a huge challenge!

He should. US supercross is no joke. Even for the very best european riders.

SX is a totally other story as MX ofcourse, but he proved his critics wrong this year aswell, despite not winning the title. And I genuine feel like Coenen is an exceptional talent at a very young age, just like Herlings and Roczen were. Maybe those two were a little bit more talented and won more at a younger age, but I think Coenen is at their level nonetheless.

Gossip goes that Coenen will race some SX next year as preparation to the GP season, that will be a good indication how he will do if he goes fulltime I suppose.

Coenen is in another league. No way Adamo could be as competitive as Lucas in MXGP category.

Herlings and Gajser never raced US supercross during their career.

And Roczen used to ride in SX the 250cc category a few sesaons first when he came to America.

I heard he was going up because he had to, not because he chose to, but again, another rider who has to cope with the fact that he didnt manage to back up his championship.

Interesting point, no MX2 Champ has gone to MXGP since Reneaux went up after winning in 2021, which means he has done 4 seasons in the premier class, which seems insane to me.

Can Adamo afford to go again and not win ?  I suggest that if there is a seat, he moves up.

I doubt he'll ever win anything again. He wasn't the strongest rider of the pack in 2023, but got the job done anyway. This year he was a bit stronger as 2024 again, but to no avail. Both Längenfelder and De Wolf were clearly stronger, and Coenen left the class.

I guess if he can ride MX2, he should. It's better for him to fight for podiums in MX2 as for top 10s in MXGP.

I wonder who will take his place at the Austrian side of Red Bull KTM if he moves to MXGP. Will Rossi stay? After only 8 GP weekends and a lot of injuries over the past two years, I doubt KTM would put their eggs in his basket.

I think he might make a good 450 guy, do you think he wont be as good as Gifting.

And if he does win again in MX2 , is it worth the risk against staying down and not winning.

Both classes will be good, nobody from EMX is going to set the world on fire though are they?

How much is the bonus for a GP win in MX2? I think Adamo won 4 this year, seems to me he makes more money in mx2 then running around a la Gifting in MXGP?

Janis will. Not sure about Zanocz, but being on an Austrian bike will help him.

With it looking like de Wolf and Coenen staying in Europe, I think we can all assume their American dream is over.

I think on the previous page, someone said Rossi will race a Honda next year.

I doubt he'll ever win anything again. He wasn't the strongest rider of the pack in 2023, but got the job done anyway. This year he was a bit stronger as 2024 again, but to no avail. Both Längenfelder and De Wolf were clearly stronger, and Coenen left the class.

With it looking like de Wolf and Coenen staying in Europe, I think we can all assume their American dream is over.

Coenen's has just been pushed back; the brothers will be coming in the future. There's still a chance they come over to test SX this off-season, even.
