Bloody hell. If they added 25c to each ticket sold for SX and MX, they'd have their own bed made without asking for help. For the most slavish, die at the alter of capitalism country in the world you sure do seem like a bunch of commies asking for a hand out every year. Have you ever thought of working harder or getting a second job?

Stoked for Jorge. Watching race two (delayed) you could see what he was doing with the Deegan set up. That was some top-tier shit to think that clearly, in that situation. Definitely in the 2027 SX title prediction list. Bummed for Cole but that's racing.

Like most here, I agree with Hunter. The tracks are not up to it. Not good SX tracks, nothing like a hybrid track. Go back to 12 outdoors, drop to 16 indoors, 28 weekends of racing and have a decent breaks.

Great listen, thanks. So, what decision does Chase have to make? 🤔 I agree with comments on post ^^^. The facility could make for a good event. I’d still like to see terrain, as tracks built on flat ground are never quite as appealing. As for Chinese bikes, we’ll see. They certainly are making an effort. My opinion of Chinese bikes right now is they likely have excellent manufacturing and very average engineering. Until they improve the engineering side they will just make copies of something already properly engineered. Those bikes last weekend could probably directly bolt on KTM components...

I'll say it - this is actually the template that the SMX finals should look at - large hub with industry stands/presentations, run over a proper two days, close to a population base with good facilities and space to make the track interesting. The MXGP track was a bit blah, but that footprint could have an amazing hybrid track. On the Chinese bikes, people bitched about the Japanese bikes being fragile in the late 70's when they took over from the Euro powerbase, then people bitched about the Euro bikes being fragile when (mainly) KTM started eating into the market...

I know he doesn't court attention and even give a shit about the media, but I am glad US fans have a chance over the playoff rounds to give him a proper send off. Would have been a bit sad if he'd just disappeared and then in Jan we hear he's finished. The end of an amazing era.

The problem with the Star edict on the cost of bikes etc, is it will affect more than just the US riders. I now cant see Cole lining up for NZ at MXDN unless its US based. Same with Minear and the Aussie team. The flow on affects are pretty large when you consider the reach of Star. Also hope Josh and JCR can find a main sponsor to at least partly replace Altherm.

Herlings is looking better and better each ride on the Honda - as you'd expect but its just crazy how well he's gelled with it. The difference is especially stark in the sand. He is trusting the bike and really letting it go now - not second guessing where the front will go or if it will do something odd. Prime Herlings.

The Star kids having been taking out friend and foe. This time it went in Coles favor but why did Kitchen line up so far out? He seems to take this route most gate picks. Is it a lack of confidence?

Heard lots of people say that Deegan is actually a nice guy when not in front of fans or the media. I don't know if I buy that take. Seems like he is a little dick 24/7.

Fantastic interview Lewis and Adam. I have to admit my preconceived basis was shifted a bit after this. Still not on board with some things - especially finishing the year away from a power house track/event, but in general he answered things well and seems genuine.

I agree Ozzy. I am all for electric bikes, but I think they need their own class. There is no real limit for their power output, so make a class and let all OEMs enter based on their class power parameters. Make them a 100 hp for all I care.

Ok so is it true that for SX1 the Varg is capped at 54 kw (72.5hp) and for SX2 its 44kw (59 hp)? Regardless of where the measurement is taken (considering the Starks don't have crank and gear box losses), this is a significant advantage over the ICE bikes. Anyone out here in Vital land built a 59hp 250f?

The NZ round will do well. Its in a new fully covered stadium in Christchurch so there will be fans attend just for the 'newness' factor. A huge moto base within driving distance plus reasonable flights from Auckland there. Hope it lasts a few seasons in NZ to see if it can secure a strong base of fans.
