Would love for any journalist at least once to ask the second level question: "what do you need the bike to do better and what are you willing to sacrifice in setup to get it?" None of these journos ride, and nobody knows a thing about bike setup except JT$, but he's too bashful.

Regarding the races: I really enjoyed seeing the MX2 class having 40 entries with a bunch of quality entries in it. It probably didnt really show on the tv broadcast, but the fights for places 15 to 30 were nice to see at the track.

Not Kawasaki related, but 2-stroke related. French publication Motoverte asked some people about the return of the two stroke and here's what the KTM boss in France had to say. I highlighted an interesting part. Carson Brown? Chucky Sanders? Not doing the actual ' Hard Enduro ' ? They turned up, and fulfilled their contractual obligations to both KTM, and , (probably) more importantly, to Red Bull. Sanders is leading the World Rally series, and, that's his main job. Carson Brown - well, he's got (very) cool Videos to do - and, that's his main job. I didn't see it tonight - so I don't know if Verona lined up for the Torture. But, his Main Job, is the World Enduro Championships - both his Class, and trying for the Overall. All three did well...

I hope he's been training for this. It'd be cool to see him progress further than last year. Remember when Pastrana and McGrath raced on a RM250 and a CR250 in 2006? I wish more moto guys would go give it a shot. Although, in 06 it was "easier" than it is now.

What if the Chinese aren't entering the EMX world to win the 2027 championship? What if they are entering to prove that the Kove 250 can be raced, just like the established mfgs' bikes, week in and week out, without constant bike failures? What if their whole goal is to prove the bike is reliable enough and that there is enough factory support to warrant the everyday Joe in the US or in the Philippines to go out and buy their bikes? New hat coming up

Interesting past few weeks, despite there were no GP's. Herlings clearly wanted to race as much as possible, probably to adapt even more to the Honda because he only could start riding in January: 1 race of the French Elite Motocross Championship, an international race in France and 2 races of the Dutch MX Masters. Another international race in The Netherlands where he was supposed to line up got cancelled due to rain. Coenen on the other hand raced nothing. Will be interesting to see how it pans out for both of them.

Not really. I just believe in having the right tool for the job and an EV fits in as the right tool for the job of commuting. It's why I have 4 dirt bikes: an MX/GP bike, desert bike, hard enduro/trail bike (to keep the thread somewhat on the rails, she's a Kawasaki 2 stroke), and a dual sport bike. Add my street bike for those days I don't feel like being on the d/s after work. It's why I also have 5 cages: beater/cheap Hyundai for work, old F150 beater for hauling crap/rocks/landscaping, F150 Raptor for prerunning/hauling bikes, OG...

You're correct to a certain degree. This wasn't an issue in his title years (specially in Mx2 and in 2023/2024) where he was so much faster than everyone and even when he didn't holeshot just blew the doors off the competition. But specially when he moved up to MXGP the first 2-3 years he pretty quickly gained his reputation on the track.. and for good reason.
