Eh, I feel like your judgement of the 2024 season is a little cloudy. Yes, Jorge had some rides that were far better than what he's shown in 2023 (like Sweden and that first Spanish round). But it wasn't like "he had so much more speed" than Jeffrey and Tim. Tim was actually really close on winning the title in 2024, if not for his footpeg breaking off at the penultimate round. Jorge made 19 points on Tim that weekend, yet won the title with 10 points over. You could argue Tim could've won the title if not for that...

He's always been an unimpressive champion. This isn't surprising. He actually looked really talented at times supercross (practice laps and heat race) but he's a fragile flower who can do nothing but hole shot and sprint

He's super talented. But he's kind of a gimmicky champ. He's like Webb in super cross. I can respect his resume but I also can acknowledge that I think there is a lot more substance to other gp champions and contenders.

The best thing he could have done tonight was go out and win. He most likely wins this SMX title if Kitchen doesn’t make an overly ambitious move in St. Louis, but it is what it is. He could have made a statement that last moto and gone out saying he was the best rider this year, winning the overall, riding off with another quarter-million dollars, saying congrats to Jo and we will see you in supercross. Prado won his qualification race at mxon 2024 (which Jett wasn't in), but did nothing close to that in the main motos and didnt get a podium in either moto. Prado won the first moto in Ernee mxon 2023 when Jett went down off the start, but thats all I can conjur up.
