Is there some contract/legality thing with the Star Team? I know the 450 team is budgeted by Corporate, but whats stopping Bobby from just putting Chase under the 250 team on a 450 that more or less he owns. He just pays for everything.

Haven't you heard?  He's still got 2 years left on his contract.

Why do people keep saying this? We know exactly as much about Chase as we do Prado or Marchbanks or any other rider that is under contract to ride for a team next year.

So now we know, EVERYTHING is questionable, ALWAYS…

Keeps monster ✅

Keeps alpinestars ✅

Could he have a deal similar to Webb’s?

I don't think he is allowed to keep AStars considering Craig will be in FXR next year

Does anyone remember when Chad Reed left Kawasaki mid outdoor season?

Herlings is rumoured to take Chase’s Kawi ride on a SX only deal.

You heard it here first.

Mmmhmmm he hated the bike. At least racer x produced one of the best practice videos from his old property aka the dog pound these days.

There’s no evidence that he’s leaving Kawi.

Thank you for the only clear answer in this thread. I guess tinfoil hats are just the new style.

I don't think this is some off-the-wall tinfoil hat theory.  I think there is solid evidence he is unhappy at Kawasaki, and enough industry insiders have discussed him talking to other teams.  Where there is smoke, there is often times fire.  He has publicly stated he's the most uncomfortable he's ever been in his career on the current bike.  Fahie has made statements that would seem to confirm to outsiders there's some tension there.  I feel 99% sure that Chase (and his advisors/agents/lawyers) are scrutinizing the contract, talking to other teams, and seeing if they can get the correct pieces to line up to change teams.  There's always the chance things don't line up and he stays at Kawi, but I'm thinking he wants to leave.

Some similarities to Prado's debacle last year, there was smoke.  It was easy to say "he has a 3 year contract, no news here", but the smoke signals turned out to be true.

Well dang, look how wrong I was! Bummer. For everyone really. Well see where chase lands, but i cant imagine him happy on anything. Maybe we will find out just how badly he burned some of those bridges.

Kawi (the race team), I gotta think are in BIG trouble at this point.

Still wondering how much it cost him to get out of that commitment...

What if Fahie & Stjernstrom have been working right up to the parameters permitted by Kawasaki Japan & the problem really lies in Japan?

This might explain why those two would keep their jobs.

You think their bosses are going to blame themselves? Usually not how that goes even if it is true.

If Fahie and his team tell his bosses “we have spent more than specified hours testing & tried every single combination you’ve made available to us, but nothing makes the rider comfortable” then what can the bosses do?

why would they Fire him if he’s put in the work?

Does Japan blame their bike? They probably blame the rider if we’re honest.

They’re spending multi-millions of dollars, I’m confident all of Chase’s post-ride debriefs are documented, then an execution plan made and resulting outcomes also documented.
Then this is presented to Japan to prove they’re working & info used to develop the next product.

Patiently awaiting reaction from the Kawi guy publicly calling Jorge out, or doesn’t he work there anymore?

You seem to think that major companies appreciate and look out for their employees..

I'm starting to think maybe the ghost ride in the pits wasn't an accident.
