I didn’t think it was ever gonna actually happen, this is nuts (for Kawasaki).

Does anybody know where he’s actually going?  I can’t imagine Yamaha having him and Deegan under the same tent, not to mention those have to be some heavy contracts.

PRMX seems the most likely spot. He gets the bike he is wanting (Yamaha), set up assistance from someone they all trust (Chiz, who helped develop the base for last years SX Championship winning bike) and he gets to keep training at Chambers place with a crew that he likes. He is probably brining some Monster money with him. Chase gets to go racing low-key with a group he likes (same as Cooper Webb now too). The Yamaha isn’t all new for this year so Yamaha can probably swing a few extra factory goodies his way too. I could be wrong, just connecting the dots here. It’s late in the season for huge swings and formation of a new team, so this is just what makes sense in my head.

I don’t think a top team should pick him up were ever he is at he is not happy.  If he really wants to race he should go to a privateer team with a pay cut and maybe he will start appreciating what he has.

Just watched his new vlog, and he oddly or not oddly never mentioned Kawasaki or the kx450 at all. Just said he couldn’t wait to ride again with the boys. And he said it quite a bit, no mention of his now former team which lead me to believe it was actually happening. Now I guess tomorrow or so we wel see where he ends up.

So is Kawi going to keep management as-is?

I've seen people fired for less at almost every company I've worked for. I can't see them continuing on with this approach of "it's not us that's the problem, it's the superstar rider we signed that's piloting the machine."

Idk man.

As much as everyone shits on kawi management did it not seem like chiz was saying they did everything possible to that bike? I feel this falls on Chase. He has wasted the prime of his career chasing a feeling he will never achieve. Like a woman.

Well maybe you couldn’t make a woman feel that way but another man could 😉

What a slap in the face this is for Kawasaki…now that two elite riders have broken contracts and walked away from the factory team. How can they ever be attractive for a championship caliber rider again? Marchbanks & Mookie are both good…but not consistent top-5 guys. This looks worse for Kawasaki than Sexton.

Sexton’s career is literally in free fall. Such a waste of talent - he will be nowhere again in 2027 on another new bike.

Bad decision. Ride it out for 2 years with one of the highest value contracts and then change brands. If you commit to something do it. I hope he does well on another brand but the past says he will find an issue with it.

Did I hurt your feelings I did not know you and Chase were such good friends. Who says he has more championships in the future and if you have the money to waste just to watch him tuck in the front then go right head so he can just jump ship after one season.

Marchbanks had a lot of top 5 finishes this year.  I hope he's able to make the jump to the group at the front.

As much as I love Banks (my kid raced against him…ok was in the same race as banks). Let’s be honest there were faster riders out…but I do hope he can find some more speed and be top 5 competitive next year!

I can count on no hands the amount of riders that are available and capable of winning a championship that isn’t named Chase sexton…..

This seems logical, but where does the million plus salary and 100K race win bonuses come from?
