Sexton leaving Kawasaki?

Did they learn anything yet? Have they learned testing at the test track is pointless? Have they committed to doing as many offseason races as possible and going to as many other tracks as possible? Or are we gonna spin endless laps at the test track, feel great there, show up to a1 and realize none of it translates….

Maybe he's waiting to ride the 27 bike before making the final decision..

ride the new bike 1st? that would make too much sense 🙃

When is he even going to be healthy enough to ride?  I thought he was still a ways away from even being on the bike, much less testing supercross

Stay with Kawi. It’s the least exciting news, but it’s the right call. Make it work the best you can, keep collecting a fat check, and then make a move when one is actually available.

Kawi being inflexible is not new news, nor that they don’t listen to riders. He rode the bike and signed anyway, so this is what you get. If he really wants to get out of it he’d go buy the bike of his choosing and ride it until something he likes opens up for him. But no, I know that’s crazy and he’ll never do it because he expects to get paid for his talent, but no championship contending factory backed team is open at this point in time.

He’s a square peg trying to fit into an already occupied round hole no matter where he would go.

They’re plenty flexible for their top rider. They did a lot this year to make Chase happy, and they did the same for Jorge last year. The issue is steering. They can’t get it right, it’s oversteer or understeer, pick one. Outside of Febvre, any of the top guys who have ridden for the team on this model in Europe or the US have said the same thing publicly, it’s not some kind of hidden knowledge that’s not out there. The new bike allegedly fixes this but that is coming from Tickle who works for Kawi, so for anything definitive, we’re going to need to wait to hear from top riders, not shootouts or test riders.

I do believe Weimer’s stories about Dan, but I don’t think that’s what’s going on with Chase or was going on with Jorge. I truly believe the bike is the problem.

Top paragraph is spot on. They can get the bike to work great at the practice track, but once it’s on the track with other bikes cutting grooves, it’s not very good.
Regarding Dan, if he didn’t have his head up his ass for years, they would understand how to fix the bike. They even faught with Eli on bike setup.

He stated that he planned to be on the bike mid October. But that’s pretty far ahead of schedule on a full ACL tear. Apparently he’s been cycling quite a bit and a lot of stretching, so who knows?

anyone know what kind of graft procedure he had? recovery time seems to be a lot shorter if they use the new smaller graft method that doesn't require full length through the bone tunnel like traditional old style.

Who cares? Chase is not going to amount to anything other than a could have been. If I was a team I wouldn’t want him coming around making my bike look bad.

Sexton has been posting pictures from back home in Illinois at fair races and the track he grew up on and riding bicycle down country roads surrounded by corn that needs to be picked..... don't care what anyone says or where he ends up he's a real one and I'm always going to root for that guy.

Just like the Kawi two stroke thread summoned the KX327 with enough pages

I expect that Sexton has to leave Kawi now because Vital wills it so.

LoL, no need to worry about some team looking "bad".

Based on your consistently utra-negative posts on various riders...you should prolly be more worried how you're the one looking bad, unless looking like a troll is really your goal here.

Pretty sure he had the older standard procedure

i did some digging but actual details and timelines are sparse. even what AI "curated" for me. Here's a little scrap but it confirms Chase is aiming for Mid Oct "return" but not racing until 2027 hopefully. FWIW, I had the old time ACL reconstruction + fixing other old damage many years ago and I could ride (against Drs wishes) at 6 mos. and raced a tame GP style race at Carlsbad after 7 months. No jumps at all and, mostly flat land in both dirt and tarmac.

Recovery Timeline

According to Sexton, October 2026 is his target return date to riding, which will be after the Monster Energy Supercross season He has ruled out any post-season racing and is focusing on a full recovery for a 2027 comeback He acknowledged that returning sooner than that is unlikely, and his goal is to be back on the bike by October 2026.

I feel like i'm repeating myself. I do not understand how Sexton lines up on a Kawasaki at A1 in a good head space if guys like Fahie are still in charge.

Sure, if a split is impossible he might line up. But the results wont be back to normal, it will be a wasted season for both parties.

The photos look like AI.   But I checked his instagram and seems like a lot of his photos have AI enhancement.   So maybe I'm the retard now.  Answer this though, Why share a photo of Kaydin Deegan Jr asking him to autography oragami made from the empty french fries container? image 3935.png?VersionId=nrpZH5zpNoQ.hVqtt

The bike sucks, period. Everyone saying things like "it's the rider's job to set-up the bike," are full of 💩.  The rider is only changing settings, they're not changing components on the bike. Chase was doing good on pro circuit suspension, and they took it off the bike. He went back to factory Kawi stuff, and wasn't a factor the rest of the year. That alone tells you that the team's base setting isn't good enough.
