Husky
It’s going to be super weird seeing Webb on a Husky.
At least he'll have plenty of time to find a setting he likes...
Who is building the bike for him, and to what spec? I doubt Rick Ware is spending any money on MX right now, and Tedder is a SX only team. I guess they could give him Hampshire's bike since it's never going to be used again.

He has probably been talking to someone within the steel frame syndicate for months to ensure he has a solid set up to land on.
Surprised the thread wasn't started by beastmode. 😆
Cooper is a pro, this event is important to him, he will get it good enough.
Hill did Ironman on it, close enough?
curious if webb will be on the new frame for SX like the KTM group. The 27.5 KTM is going to be the new frame so husky would have to launch a new frame as well? or are they like grandfathered in? wondering if he could actually be on a KTM & just dress it up like a husky in order to run the new frame. not sure. but been wondering.
great question. thinking Husky would also have to have a 28 FE available in December, just like KTM, for him to line up at A1 with the new frame?
I wonder how much factory support he'll receive if any once he gets there and has a few minutes of testing.
Might as well ride the new frame. There have been guys racing it this year. At least on the KTM side.
He will be able to race the 27 FE or the regular 27 next year.
The 27 is not the new frame. Only the 27.5 FE KTM is. Nobody in US is racing it this year. I didn’t think Husky had a FE anymore.
I suspect it will be a KTM MXGP bike with white plastic on it... They have a few over there and could probably rent it for a reasonable price.
Maybe the spare bike at Van Venrooy? Going to be interesting...
Hopefully he’s on a Husky. Just good looking bikes.
Are people forgetting Coop rode KTM up until July of 23’? He had settings back then but reportedly KTM was not open to some changes he wanted. Fast forward to 26’ and KTM seems somewhat more flexible….and Tedder will be able to do much more with the Husky as far as mods. So…for this weekend he probably starts as close to settings he used 3 years ago as he can, with some mods he wanted but couldn’t get from KTM 3 years ago. After that he will worry about 27’.
Webb butted heads with Roger during his previous stint at KTM, right? And Roger's no longer involved with MXoN?
You'd think the Euro team (Nestaan) would help but their riders are RedBull ... weird spot for Webb who is going to Tedder Monster Husky.
I know. The 27 FE will be the new chassis. He could ride either next year (Assuming Husky has an FE).
Pit Row
Webb will be on KYB they said.
Coop raced the KTM outdoors only 4 times in '23, which was the year he up and quit (or was benched?) after getting passed by Ty Masterpool a few times. He did not race pro motocross in '22, so '21 was the most recent full summer he had on the KTM and I'm pretty sure that was a different generation bike.
This was my question I know Justin Hill has ran KYB in the past didn't know if the Husky support would actually limi tedder from being able to run anything other than WP..
Then again I don't know the support that Tedder is going to get if they're having to actually lease the bikes and pay for them or if Huskies going to give them to them?
Mathes was saying on a recent pod that Coop will be running KYB inserts. He also said Vialle was running KYB inserts as well when he was over here which I hadn’t heard before.
Chase did also 🙃
I believe that's what he and Roger but it heads about he was trying to run a set of KYB inserts tuned by Factory Connection and Roger wouldn't let him
Good point. He didn’t have much outdoor on it. “New gen” in 24 was a change to frame, sub-frame, swingarm and engine mounts to make it less rigid and have a little more flex, but I actually like my 23’. Rode a 24 Rockstar edition and couldn’t tell too much of a difference. If anything, I actually liked mine more, but it was what I was used to. As for other changes….probably not relevant to factory level packages anyway. I think he will have “some” feel for it that is at least semi familiar….and KYB will be better ….and I believe suspension was one of his want to change items denied back then. Coop is the man for taking this all on like this, and I think he will do pretty well considering it all.
we all do know that a husky is a white ktm … right?
Wait what...? I suppose next thing you will try to tell me is that Santa Claus isn't real? (:
Well, I guess that question's answered...
That bike looks great! So glad Monster didn’t get to sink their claws (ha!) into it and make it another black bike on the track.
Can't wait to see what he does this weekend. Can't wait to see his graphics and gear for this weekend as well. That monster logo being small fits the overall look so well, didn't realize how tired I am of the claw being the length of a shroud until now.
Post a reply to: Webb on a Husky or a KTM for this weekend?
