Just looking for personal opinions here.
Does an SMX title really count for breaking the Pro-Circuit dry spell? Kitchen? Ryder D, Prado? Deegan’s 4 tiles vs 6? ect…
For me…imho…With 3 races and gimmick points it doesn’t count any more than a Monster Million/U.S. Open….therefore not a legit break of a dry spell or for total titles. If Feld can fix the format/venues/track then maybe I reconsider in the future….but probably not.
All jmho…so remain calm.
Gimmick series. Useless title.
It counts just as much as mec, the US open, and rbsr counted....
It’s not the same as a sx or mx title but definitely better than a monster cup title to me.
1. Sx
2. Mxgp
3. Mx
4. Smx
This is an arbitrary number off the top of my head but it means around 33% as much as a true SX title in my mind, I guess it’s more meaningful in the 250’s as opposed to the 450’s because of split coasts being brought together

I agree...but when “they” are talking about a rider with “X” number of titles…should they include it? I think, strongly, not. ..but I realize the main broadcast will since it is their gimmick title.
That's kind of a tough question really. It does feel gimmicky. It feels like more of a disappointment the longer it goes on. But it's still (usually) the same bad ass riders that other bad ass riders have to go through to earn the title. Like IF Prado wins tomorrow, he's going to have to beat the 2026 SX and 2026 MX champion to do so. That part of it is the only thing that gives it any legitimacy but it's still a legit thing to be able to say. I dunno. Maybe we make the 3 rounds RBSR, US Open and MEC. That would be interesting. Beyond having a few more races to watch at the end of the season I really have lost most interest in it at all.
If the boys get paid and they are willing to do it...who am I to bitch.
I agree with you. I’ll still watch though. Haha
It's not a series or a championship, it's on the same level as Monster Cup and RedBull Straight Rythem
Too legit
IMO, SMX should be manufacturer-focused if it's going to continue to only be 3 races. Take the top 2 or 3 from each class for each brand, and shift to cumulative team scoring from each race, like MXON (with or without dropping the worst score at each race). Have similar race payouts to the riders for each race as SX, but have the bigger series payout go to the teams.
Let SX and MX continue to be individual-rider focused, so we don't muddy title counts with a 3-race series trying to be counted as a championship.
Do they get paid if they win?
Is the answer is yes, then it's a title. If not, it's just an exhibition.

Danger fans consider it up there with sx and mx title.
Someone's half baked idea.
How much credit did voss get for his world sx championship. How about Reynard with his euro sx title?
In comparison to the normal SX and National titles (what's really being asked) not very much... It is a legit 'thing' to earn and win though since a bunch of good riders are ostensibly trying to win it.
I'd put it above Heath Voss's 2004 World Supercross Championship etc but not much more than that. (No knock on Heath, he was better than the vast majority will ever be but otherwise 7th in the AMA championship that mattered...).
I have to agree that it’s a gimmicky title. Single, double, triple points - how does that tie up the end of a year between two different disciplines of racing?
Pit Row
It would gain credibility if Ronnie Mac was on the gate..
So they are not counting The Prado’s 2 world champions on mx2 but they count the smx tittles? Sounds weird
It's a welcomed money grab and nothing more.
Proof that Brian has at least 5 accounts. You might want to look into that ML.
….oh…I’m just having some fun….relax.
SMX titles are about on par with a 250SX title
NOT!!!!!! Waste of everyone's time and money! Worst of all it puts the guys at further risk for absolutely no reason whatsoever! Do us all a favor, drop 3-4 Supercross races, bring back one outdoor national (preferably Glen Helen, if the little spoiled children in the room could get along). Fewer circus races would allow a longer break between the two series.
This mini series is meh. Another payday for the riders but I wish they would bring back Monster Cup instead honestly...
It didn’t have gimmicks like this series. Every race should have a 🃏 lane.
Meh..
I'm just happy to have racing.
it’s lame …
If the purse was the same as the other titles half the guys would skip it if they were contractually able to. In outdoors and SX they celebrate the accomplishment when they win, in SMX they celebrate the paycheck. It's a 3 race exhibition.
