Yeah him putting his hand up for MXdN the last couple of years, despite less than ideal circumstances, certainly has brought my opinion around, but tonight sealed the deal.

Deegz will take cooper out faster and harder off the track than on it. Old man better watch himself.

The move ultimately cost Deegs a podium. Knocking Coop down and letting 94 past put him off the box ( lost 4 more points)

Coops overall position was never affected for the night.

I reckon Webb will tee him up in every race moving forward now, should be good !

Looking at just the collision in a vacuum, Cooper definitely has reason to be irritated, though not for punching if that's what happened.. Not the hardest 'take out' ever but enough whereby Cooper couldn't have reasonably saved it.

I think the surrounding circumstances especially have hightened his irritation this time though: Having one foot in retirement (from MX) yet having to don his MXDN boots yet again at the 11th hour under less than ideal circumstances (of course it's a honour to ride for your country but Cooper will have no illusions on just how difficult it'll be - and why he's having to step in again...), and lastly he was more than likely about to put one over on Kenny again, which of course got scuppered this time. 

On the flipside, assuming you believe in karma, Cooper doesn't have much room to complain. Particularly in regard to his flattening of Jorge at one of the later rounds during the SX season. 

It's really more a question of his reaction rather than his justified anger. We'll see.

JCoop was the faster man at a few SX races and he was behind Webb and never did anything close to what Haiden did. Another shitty move by the 38 in a looooooooong list of others. 38 also looking back constantly when Prado was putting the last push on tells me his maturity is nowhere near where it needs to be. Deegan is a head case, always cracks under pressure but didn’t get much pressure in 250 class, he’s crashed so many times this year 450mx when the pressure is high (first few corners he literally can’t stay upright when he has a holeshot lol) his whole act is a projection of deep insecurity.

As we saw in SX, JCoop had opportunities to make a block or takeout of Webb but chose not to.  However Webb didn’t show the same respect for JCoop. That needs to change for JCoop. He is too polite and finishes behind slower riders sometimes.

Like he toook out Shimoda and broke his own shoulder? Or like he tried to take out Davies in the last SX and crashed himself and not Davies. The guy is clearly a beginner in take out moves and clumsy. 

“Most” of the 450 guys are used to close, respectful racing. They know they left the takeouts back in the 250 class. Yes us fans like it when we see some aggressive riding, makes things more exciting (see last night) but it’s not what is expected. I’m sure Webb was caught off guard by the pass from a guy that he trains with and has spent all season trying to help out. He probably would like to take his comments back looking back but you interview people when they haven’t had a chance to cool down and you will get sound bites like this

The AMA will have hyper focus on Webb for a retaliatory move on Deegan and penalty as they have done in the past with other similar situations. When Webb said it, the AMA has the responsibility to talk to Webb and warn him before next race. 
But I don’t think Webb GAF and will do whatever he wants. Webb is absolutely the last guy you want to have owing payback. Mess with the Bull and you’ll get the horns.
