It's a group text that Feld put together and their staff is on.

THIS THREAD IS NOT ABOUT DANIEL BLAIR

Just wrapping up listening to this week's Pulp Review and apparently comments made in a private text message has resulted in multiple team managers (STAR & Triumph) being barred from attending next weekends race because they were critical of this weekend's event.

[REDACTED] and now even text messages exchanged in private will boot you from events. What the hell is happening?

This may be slightly besides the main point, I have not heard any details that tell me how Feld learned the details of the manager's group chat. Did someone rat out the group?

That makes sense now. Sounds like not only no negativity is allowed, but no dissent whatsoever. I can see Feld being sensitive though. They ought to be embarrassed, comments or no. The event was a shit show even by Supercross standards.

Those people don't like to be criticized. Those people are getting more and more bold about their ability to censor criticism regardless of the protestations. Those people are getting exactly what they want. They need more useful idiots to blindly defend them.

The biggest thing I took from what Albrecht had to say on Pulp was that the text group has existed since COVID, and that it's always been the same and "someone got tired of it."

If they've been allowed to voice their opinions freely for 6 years, and nothing really changed, then going to this length is insanity.

If they've been warned repeatedly, then fine, boot them from the group for a predetermined amount of time, but to put their removal from a group text, AND SUSPENSION FROM EVENTS, on an official document is a wild move.

Btw are we naive enough to think that similar stuff couldn't happen to the industry media in the future? FELD and MX Sports wants complete control of this whole business and the narrative. I bet they will push more and more towards "in house" media that will tow the company line in every situation.

A bit too negative/critical regarding venues, rules, officials, owners etc? Yeah say goodbye to your credentials the next 2 rounds.

It’s not a matter of if, but when.

Either it's an official penalty or nothing. AMA can't ban them unofficially. This forum has been crying over unofficial and discretional decisions.

They have toughened the line all over, like with the track cutting.

If they wanted to change how the group chat operates or what is "allowed or not allowed", that should’ve been handled privately. Maybe they tried, but taking it so public still looks like an emotionally weak move.

And it will be interesting to see if DC comments on this in his Friday Racerhead column on RacerX Online.  And if he does what side will he take?

I like that by penalizing these people it only made their comments have more of an impact.  If Feld just ignored the messages how many would really know what was said.  Power struggle backfire.

C'mon man, if you're going to repeatedly say it in this thread at least tell us who "those people" that you are referring to are.

Feld has no obligation to accept their entry, if they don't go, they may not be accepted next year.

I can't imagine being offended that some managers wanted to save 50k per bike from being ruined in a side show race that doesn't really matter. Oh no, the horror. Egos bruised. BANNED.

I bet All that happened was they made another text thread without feld and mx sports so they can shit talk them into the ground.

Every group chat I’ve ever been a part of ends up being clogged with memes and funny cat videos. Do you think this is the same?

it's not public disparagement. they're abusing their own rule to cover something it wasn't intended to simply because they have thin skin.

I heard the line that got the participants into trouble was, and I quote

"if you want my comeback you'll have to scrap it off your mother's teeth".

Apparently directed at somebody from the AMA or Feld.

Aaaaand.... NOT ONE sees the Big Picture.

Which is, the GREEDY piss-poor excuses for great unwashed masses entertainment known as "Super MX" or whatever the fuck it is, and "World Super Cross" or whatever the fuck that is..... are poisoning the US top level dirtbike racing scene.

Or is all the drama and bitchiness part of the plan?   After all, it's  what the TV-edumacated i-Phone generation  LIVE for! Downvite, like, subscribe.... "I'm part of the "community"!!

Super Duper Motor Cross and World BS Cross is nothing but reruns of the Ricki Lake Show 🤣

Try going to work tomorrow and scream at the top of your lungs your employer/boss/whatever is a corrupt guy, the whole organization is corrupt, and he raped an alien…See how that works out.

Blair is obviously a moron.

Personally I think Daniel Blair would be a major addition to this sport. He would make an excellent announcer

There's a reason the First Amendment to the Constitution is freedom of speech. Feld is not the USA but the principle is the same, if you cannot criticize your overlords or petition them over grievances, then those who rule have no checks and balances. They just jail or cancel those who disagree with them until everyone agrees with everything they do. Recipe for disaster.

Agreed.  Censorship is a tool of tyrannical regimes and has no place in the United States.

As an EMS dispatcher that was fired for using the radio system to complain about my employer, I can relate to the 1st amendment violations.

Sure they said it was improper use of an official communication system as outlined in the handbook, but that's just because they don't understand the first amendment.    🤡
