One of the pods also mentioned something like a hard charger award or something for a guy like mumford who climbed all the way back up the mountain from the bottom all the way back to the top over the year… then unfortunately fell back down, but something for a guy like that might be cool too idk.

To me, it would be more of an "Iron man" award. The guy who has accumulated the most points in each series at the end of the combined season has been riding the longest at the tip of the spear without missing much time due to illness or injury. These guys are incredible athletes, I think recognizing that athletisism would be well deserved. It's not an easy feat. Imagine Hunter, who almost retired due to persistent injuries, perservering and winning the SMX Iron Man (and maybe a title too). Thats a great story.

Because he would have to move up to 450s full time in ‘28 if he wins the SX title again next year. The current trend that seems to be working is to move up to 450 in the summer instead of making your 450 debut in SX. It seems crazy but Cole is on a tear!

If he wins the SX title again next year he'll be forced to move up to the 450 class in 2028. Racing a 450 outdoors next year would make for an easier 450 transition than jumping straight into 17 SX races and 11 MX races in 2028. It's logical. Personally, I think we'll see him move up in 2028. If he doesn't win the 250SX title next year, he'll be eligible to race 250SX for a final year. I could see him doing that and then moving up to the 450 outdoors in 2028.

Take away injuries and he'd be in 8th, one spot behind the guy that had nothing for Deegan outdoors in the US. It's a weird flex, unless there's some inside joke or history I'm missing.
