If Webb were to try and quit he would be in breach of his contract and Yam could easily get an injunction to keep him out of the race on a Hus. If Star sits him for disciplinary reasons (which are spelled out in every contract) there is nothing he could do and he would sit out…they would not be denying a contracted team rider to fulfill his contract they would be disciplining a rider that was being detrimental to the team….where you people come up with this shit is nuts…

Paul getting dragged in the comments. Friday pre race he was talking up Deegan helping him with his media content, looks like he should have kept the hissy fit at bay until he learned a bit more. Clickbait nonsense.

A civil suit can be brought for sure, and who knows how the ruling(s) would go. Either way, Webb stating his intentions doesn't help if he were to be a defendant after physical contact, etc. Unfortunately, he was obviously caught up in the heat of the moment Saturday night but he said what he said. Hopefully he just races his heart out and finishes as close to the front as he can without any incidents causing anyone to fall, but the drama is definitely there until after the event is over. Even if he were to come out now and...

Lets say Webb takes out Deegan and in the process someone else gets hurt? Legal action for sure.

Or, and hear me out here, would they have MORE legal exposure if they decided to allow him to race and he followed through in his inference (to put it charitably) and took out Deegan, perhaps costing Deegan up to 7 figures? If that were to happen, it would be pretty difficult to argue that they had no idea what Webb's intentions were, no?

Not after what Webb said. They have every legal reason they need to park him. I want them to let Webb ride...I wanna see what happens.

I don’t think it’d be quite that easy. If they bench him ‘for cause’, he’d still be under contract with Yamaha/Star. If Star truly wanted to ‘bench’ him, their easiest option is to get his bike through tech inspection, then just before first practice cause a couple of wires to get rubbed through their casings…. I think he’d still get into the motos, but they could come up with a different electrical/mechanical issue before the first moto. Not advocating for that to happen, but I could definitely understand Star wanting to keep him from taking Deegan out. Webb should have...

There are clauses in most riders contracts for just this type of thing...hurting the team or riders type of dealio. Normally, A LOT of leeway is given. But, given what Webb said, he's probably on a real short leash. Yeah, they'll bench him if he screws around during practice or qualifying. During the race it could be an entirely different deal.

I was listening to Blair’s Patreon show this morning and the story they said they heard yesterday was that Webb went into the trailer and told Deegan basically what he said in his interview, how was going to make sure he won’t win next weekend, and Deegan jumped up and said something like “well won’t don’t we settle it right now?” So Webb hit him and Deegan’s security guard (not his UFC friend) grabbed Webb and restrained him with his hands/arms behind his back. While he was being held and pulled away, Deegan hit him back while the security guard...

If Webb races for Star this weekend...and this is a big if at this point, he will be told under no uncertain terms to stay the fuk away from #38.

Webb crashed, Deegan didn't = classic supercross block pass. Webb is the master of late race mayhem so I'm not sure why he went nuclear...maybe something else going on?

Yo, Paul333 - you can't tell sh*t.... I still own two bikes and have raced quite a bit. Now that I am almost 60, I do not race anymore but ride when I can. What is this " just gets paid to post supporting Deegandashian" crap? You really should realize that you may be wrong when you come at someone but IDGAS. I have been on both sides of this situation including things overflowing into the pits. This type of thing is a regular event...

Whatever you do, don’t google gooning

What about Weston vs Vince? Technically "on the track" but off the bikes. TM

I guess you've never dated a girl from Costa Rica

Im a fan of both. Having said that, i got hit harder at regionals for Lorettas and just as hard for mid pack positions in +40 at the ranch.

Jesus, it's just racin'... Coop needs to take a chill. This type of shit happens ALL THE TIME
