On what basis have you concluded there's grounds to say the Lawrences are willing to commit fraud?  What, did Jett place a Kalshi bet on Hunter winning the title?

You're trying being too clever by a half.  The fact that you're pushing this nonsense shows you've picked a side.

Maybe Deegan threw the whole season so Hunter could win?

Championship endorsements will easily cover money “lost”. IMO, everyone is put in a tough spot, if Jett wins then his brother loses yet another championship by the skin of his teeth due to a mental mistake he makes. If Hunter wins, he finally is vindicated in his efforts and gets the monkey off his back, but then this discussion happens. Fact is, the championship is over, Hunter is the victor, and the rest is up for us Vitard’s to fight over. None of us will ever know what really happened. I am stoked for Hunter and bummed for our sport, that’s all I’ll say.

There is no monkey of his back when gifted a championship by his brother, so that is just ridiculous.

No more money either, neither short term or long term. Hunters contract is already set (or Honda is also now part of the cover-up?) 😅🤦

Did you watch moto 1?

That's basically like my wife having a black eye.

Doesn't mean I did it but I would understand if a stranger questioned me about it.

There you are "picking sides."

Moto 1 is utterly consistent with Jett reinjuring his ankle badly enough that he couldn't push, which is what has been relayed.   But they're all lying.

It just doesn't look good. You are smart enough to understand why people would think Jett took a dive.

I haven't posted or listened to the Dazzy interview because I don't care, you guys arguing about it is entertaining.

In a vacuum of any other knowledge that might be understandable.

To extend your analogy - what if I  (the stranger) also knew that your wife does boxing for fitness?  What if I also knew you were an upstanding member of the community, and that several of my good friends are work colleagues of yours and always had good things to say about you?

It was easy to notice Jett wasn't performing as his usual self.  That observation has nothing to do with fraud.

What are your thoughts on Levi Kitchen quitting one third of the way through the first moto?

When everything we know about the Lawrence family is from media, we don't have the luxury of judging their character.
It's all PR.

ex. I read in the paper that Adios Vital was an upstanding member of the community, donated to charity, and he even hired some of my friends to work for his businesses, paid them well and on time.   I was surprised to learn he was in the mafia and convicted of having his wife murdered.

Looked like a bike issue, was a lap (or 2) down. Gotta know when to fold 'em.

Not the choice I would make but appeared consistent with Kitchen's previous behavior.

We do hear them speak directly, and we do see their behaviour in unscripted moments.  You are right that we don’t truly know who they are on a personal level.

Nonetheless, the overwhelming majority of people don’t commit fraud or attempt to manipulate the outcome of a sporting event.  It would require substantial evidence for me to assume otherwise.

Anyone who is taking that view in this case is basing everything on one observation - Jett not performing to normal level - and ignoring all the other evidence to the contrary.

But nothing reported about bike issues, injury or other circumstance that could stop him riding?  Not a single word?  He was in contention for the championship and just quit early in moto 1 and didn’t even bother for Moto 2?

I agree, but there isn't much evidence to the contrary, other than testimony from people with something to lose.

So it makes the water murky.

What I am saying is this, stories like Hunters sell. The perennial underdog who finally comes out on top is a big story. His family is going to make money off of that story, I can literally be quoted as saying I do not believe this is a “conspiracy” and that I thought Jett made his decision out of love for his brother. There is a possibility I am wrong, but there is a possibility that I am not also. 🤷🏻 Like I said also, I what’s done is done. I need to learn my lesson and stop replying to this thread haha.

Was Deegan in on this conspiracy? He only made it to 16th place first moto and was 5 sec's a lap faster second moto as well... I think Jett botched his start, hurt his ankle and the track was hard to pass on in moto one. If it wasn't Deegan would have made it further up as well. I think it is plausible that Jett didn't get in a massive fury about it to try and get Hunter back at ALL costs, but I think that is as deep as this goes. After it was a long shot for Jett, he gave in and was happy for Hunter. If Jett would have got the start and Hunter still fell, Jett would have taken the championship. Like others have said, if he wanted Hunter to win, he would have pulled out of the moto all together and/or not lined up moto 2.

So we’ve had statements from the people involved.
We’ve had responses from past riders like RC, Stew, Brayton etc who’ve studied video.
Observations from people that were there in the moment, like ML.
All with the same conclusion that Jett was genuinely hurt and not able to compete at his normal level.
Then there’s the race footage, available for all, to go back and put under the microscope.

Yet many of you are still all in on the conspiracy theory 😂

No wonder society is such a mess.

Sell what?! They don't need to sell ANYTHING they are lock in with Honda for years.

You think having one Championship does anything in 3 years if you don't follow it up? Ask Anderson.

There is no upside left, zero. You grasping for straws that burned down 2 days ago 😅

Yeap according to tin foil hats, Deegs was saving himself for moto 2 so he mailed it in 😅

But, Mailing it in also belong to Prado only, according to many other vitals 🤦

People are just so fucking stupid.
