It’s always the quiet ones you gotta worry about! This young lad doesn’t make a whole lotta noise but he does keep his nose to the grindstone and is winning championship after championship. Despite how close the points ended up being at times, there is no doubt Cole Davies was the best guy out there by far. His future looks very bright!

yah hes gonna be a problem, i would be surprised to see him win the next 4 in a row. SMX, 27SX, 27mx, 27smx...and start his 450 career in sx since he appears to be more comfortable in that platform
Dude he's so impressive.
If anyone wants to know how impressive his early pro career is I recommend looking up the stats for some of the greats with the same number of starts in MX and sx. He's way up there

Exactly, i think he is underrated.
Cole is another Jett.
My only concern is that the Yamaha 450 may not be as good as those HRC 450s.
He's Jett 2.0. He's so impressive! His very first sx race last year it was clear how amazing his technique and speed was. I was obviously aware of Cole but I was rooting for Adam's at LL and when they do the Futures SX races I go to the bathroom. It was like, "holy fuck this kid is the future!" I felt like that immediately. Apparently he's a sponge and whatever his coaches say, he does it and from then on he's locked in. Apparently there was something to change about his starts and he took the coaching and the kid is a starting machine now.
He is a kid with few words....he leaves it all for the track. Cole's technique is perfect and he is smart. I can't wait for him to transition to the 450.

I believe his smooth controlled style will carry over well to a 450. The USA riders need to look at what is going on “down under” because they seem to be producing some awesome riders.
His style on the bike reminds me of Chad Reed more than anyone else, but style points aside, Cole has a very bright future ahead of him. It’s going to be interesting to watch how it unfolds.

Am I way off in that he almost looks racially like a really young Reed? Literally never saw it until yesterday.
This times a thousand. Its the MXGP riding style IMO. Lucas has it. US riders falling behind on changing their technique is why we're being left behind. I am seeing it way more in US amateurs though.
The Deegan haters have all the sudden not only ran out of batteries on their bullshit detectors (450 moto 1), now they apparently have bad memories as well. I remember when Deegan won in the 250 class, this was the running theme we heard from his haters:
"Looks way better than he is because the class is the weakest 250 field ever"
Isn't it funny how that works?
Anyways, congrats to Cole Davies on a superb year in 2026.
The guy’s a technique machine and a mental warrior. Can’t wait to see him defend (I'm assuming) that outdoor title next year vs Sacha and the rest of the class.
I’m glad you pointed this out. I’ve been wondering about the bike differences between the two brands, especially in light of the Hondas starting well and it seems that it’s been rare recently when it’s looked like the Honda is not working as well—at least to me.
I had hopes we’d see JC32 with his smoother riding style riding up front this summer.

I didn't take anything away from Cole, as I congratulated him on his phenomenal 2026. I find it deliciously ironic that you of all people would ask why I mention Haiden Deegan in a thread not about Haiden Deegan since you and the others have mucked up so many threads with your garbage, it isn't even funny. So I think it's fair to ask for consistency from the Deegan haters. Deegan won by wider margins in basically the same class, but it was said by many Deegan haters that the 250 class was one of the weakest in history and that's why Haiden looked so good. Does that idea only apply to Deegan?
It's almost to easy to expose the hypocrisy with Deegan haters.

As was pointed out in that other thread, Davies has better career stats than Deegan so far. Not sure where the hypocrisy is.
The “haters” said it’s going to be tough for Haiden to win in the 450 class and the fanatics/bed bugs said he would be winning instantly, multiple wins this summer even. Perhaps the people saying Deegan isn’t the greatest rider ever weren’t haters after all, they were just correct.
Maybe he'll make the 450 switch.

Take their winning 250 outdoor season (second season for both of them) and Haiden had more overall wins and more moto wins, and won by a larger margin than Cole Davies did. When you say Cole Davies stats are better, you are saying they are better in regional sx and that Cole has better stats in the same amount of races comparatively. But that's running the stats in your favor and ignoring the above stat that I mentioned.
In case you missed it, the hypocrisy with Deegan haters is in saying that Deegan won in one of the weakest fields ever and that made him look better than he is, and essentially ignoring that motif when it comes to Cole Davies. Sacha Coenen came over and easily beat Davies in 3 out of 4 motos, so say what you want about Deegan, but he destroyed the 250 class outdoors and was more dominant than Davies has been in it. Yet, with Haiden we get, 'the class is one of the weakest ever' while with Cole Davies we get, "The best is yet to come."
Both Deegan and Davies did two outdoor races as pros in their first “season”. Deegan didn’t win the next year; Davies did.
Same for SX - Deegan won in his third year, Davies in his second.
Now you’re discounting the regional SX series that Deegs struggled for 2 years to establish his skill in??
I only remember Cole putting Deegan on the ground beating him in his final 250 race with better skill, speed, strength and race craft.
And he has a style that will be great on a 450
Davies riding style will translate well to the 450. He needs more time in the 250 class to develop, but we are in for a treat when he moves up. Looks to be an immediate contender barring any injuries between now and then.
