The coach of the Dutch MXoN Team, Barry Forschelen, must be fired. For years, he has been making insane decisions regarding his selection. Leaving Herlings at home last year?????!!! Choosing Moosdijk this year simply because he has a personal interest regarding the Kosak MX Team. Fire that idiot. Fire him. We want Marc de Reuver as Captain.
Leaving Coldenhoff off the team in his farewell season is crazy, especially with his experience and he seems in good form. Plus, Glenn is a tiny little dude and would probsbly do really well on the 250. If you think NL has problems though, just look across the pond at the sh$#show going on with team USA! 😪
This has been going on in the dutch team for decades. Really dont get it, if they just base it on results of the running year, which isnt that hard to do.. you would line up the best team and you dont even need a coach.. maybe thats the problem...
Herlings, de Wolf and Karssemakers to Ernee. Isn’t that difficult to announce right?
Its again a strange decision just like last year. But somewhere i can follow his choice. I think he would like to take Coldenhoff but with Herlings and De Wolf obviously the best 450 picks for team NL Coldenhoff would need a 250 but who is going to fund those Bikes ? Because i dont see his Brasil team paying for this, like he was pitting out a van at his farewell home GP at Arnhem let alone getting to Ernee and having 2 competitive 250’s to race with….
Karssemakers would be the other choice but we have All seen the reliability off the dixon Kawasaki and also i dont know if it is an extra factor but maybe his contract only runs till the last european gp or last gp and he is looking for a new ride for 2027.
The other possible 250 options are injured so…
Its a strange line up for sure but maybe there where on other choice’s ?

I think most Duchies would like Glenn to be the 250 guy, but in fairness they have to think of support on race weekend, and Glenn doesn't have any EU team to depend on this year and for sure he does not want to spend his own money to race.
I'm really surprised that you guys didn't pick Karssemakers, I thought for sure it would be him.
Roan is kind of a unexpected choice considering he hasn't been on a 250 at all this year - Re-learning the power and shifting points for a KTM 250f for a clay track is not ideal...
USA isnt a shit show, its a very strong team.
Strongest avaiable at this point.
Maybe you need to give an official apology to them for your country.
Isn't that hard to understand. Where would Glen get a competitive and tuned 250 in 4 weeks?
Karssemakers hasn't been that stable, neither bike.
Barry is such a '70's name too.
Glenn himself stated, that would not be a problem... he has always been on a competive bike and has good People around him
2 factory Yamaha’s where already arranged, supported and serviced by the Hutten Metaal team.
Barry Forschelen should have been fired a long time ago. His lack of ethical awereness is shocking.
He maintained an extramarital affair with the mother of a youth rider he mentored as national coach. Absolutely unacceptable behavior, and given that many have been dismissed from the KNMV for far less, talk a bit more about ethics and integrity at the supervisory board.
I have nothing against Gyan Doensen, but as an official KNMV representative you should represent all KNMV riders and not favour just one. A lot of KNMV resources went into the career of Doensen, while there are many other talents, maybe even bigger ones than him, that didn’t receive support, very little or even attention at all.
You guys gotta get the Hoff out there one last time. That dude is a gamer when it comes to MXDN. I like Glenn. Good dude and he deserves this send off. It's only right.
Could it be financial though? Maybe the Kosak team will absorb all the costs of getting Roan there, whereas who would cover them for Glenn?
I would like to see Glenn on a 250 though.
You ever watch Forrest Gump? Maybe that's how she got and paid him to mentor her son? 🤣
The same victory as the last 4 years for team Netherlands?
Sorry, but they should take Kay Karssemakers instead of 39 or 259.
you have to wonder if having Barry Forschelen at all GPs to 'support' a couple of riders (who ride for teams with their own coaches) really outweight the costs the KNMV has to incur (travel, stay, salary).
afaik almost all dutch riders in mxgp, mx2, emx250 and emx125 have their own trainer/coach (or none). Why does he have to be there every GP?
The paddock nicknames him as Barry Doensen for a reason
Pit Row
Please explain...
Sounds like the public should take matters into their own hands and have de Reuver take Barry boys place, same with the US Mitch Payton would be legendary for the spot
I think de Reuver is responsible for the Junior World Champ riders for KNMV at the moment. Him and Herlings aren't particularly best friends, so as long as Herlings is riding I don't see him replacing Forschelen.
What’s the case on Herlings and de Reuver? two proud dutchies
I read somewhere about beef with who is ‘the fastest sand rider’ thought it might have changed with JH seeming to be less of a hot head
Now Max Spies is out of German MXoN team we can lend out Moosdijk to the Germans (he is latest German Master so that make some sense). Then The Hoff can do it once again.
Remember 2018 and 2019....To honor those epic editions, we need to let The Hoff do one more.
Just read that he is injured
Glenn is this you?
Coldenhoff could be back on the dutch team with the De Wolf injury rumour...
Not as long as Barry is around. If true, vd Moosdijk will move up to the 450 class and Doensen will be the MX2 rider.
Wait and see.
I wonder who he'll pull out of his hat.
You never know with this guy.
