Nothing at all wrong with the rear end on a new KTM, new forks are more subjective but generally not bad with proper setup. Better than most forks available anyway
I have a 23 300sx and just bought a 24 350sxf. 5’11 202lbs, vet b rider Moto only. The 300 is the best bike for me by far. I am faster on it, enjoy it more and can ride longer then my 450. Why then did I buy a 350 yesterday? Because after 12 amazing hours my sx300 decided it was going to have an electrical problem, and some weird other stuff that makes the bike not operable (and yes it has all the updates latest release 6/14). I also had a TX300 2023 because I thought I’d ride woods, but after the SX300 issues i sold the TX300 yesterday. I will ride the 350 for 1-2 years then buy another 300 when they sort out these bikes. I know people who have 108 hours on them and no issue and I know some that have issues myself now among them. If you’re not concerned with potential issues like any new model year has then I’d say buy the 300. TBI is new tech for Moto so I feel these bikes will get refined over the next year or so. The new 300s are phenomenal, I just need the reliability to Improve and based on my experience recently, I bought a 350 to get me through the next year.

Power : Weight ratio.
300 makes more HP and the 300 is lighter. You could rev the 350 to 25k and it still wouldn't catch a 300 because the HP isn't there.

The weight difference is only 6#. The 300 is like 2% lighter.
Exactly, you are literally proving my point. The 300 has better power:weight ratio.
300 - 57hp / 219 dry
350 - 50hp / 228
The 300 has 7hp and weight 9lbs less. That's a huge advantage in terms of "dirt bikes".

Not the same day, not exactly the same track conditions (actually looked a little wetter on the 300 SX), slow guys in the wrong spot different times. But I re watched these with a stop watch and in general the 300 SX was 2- 3 seconds a lap faster than the 350 SX.
Made me tired just re watching a bunch of times, good rider!
I actually owned both (still have the 300) I personally don't think one is really faster than the other, they just put the power down differently.

Not sure why that's hard for you to believe? Pretty common for two stroke of similar size to have more HP and torque.
4 stroke easier to ride, easier to clear jumps from a corner. More maintenance.
Per vitalmx dyno test at race tech with the 2023 300 and 350 the 350 makes more power, just higher in the RPM range.

And where does the 350 dyno at?
All I’m stating is KTM says they’re the same HP, obviously at the crank.
I posted the 300 and 350 on the same dyno on the same day a few reply’s up.
Owning both a the same time, my Butt Dyno pretty much confirms that dyno chart. They are both fast but different, one really isn't faster than the other. Kept the 300 just because I like 2 strokes. I was probably pretty much exactly the same speed on either.
My talent or lack of limits my speed to the same speed as always. I’ve never ridden a magic bike that changes that, but more fun? Yep 300

Whatever happened with Keefer and the 300? He talked up this bike so much when it first came out then crickets.
I’m considering a 24 or 25 300sx, but as wondering about issues with it!
Bringing this back up…. Anyone raced each on rough tracks? Thoughts? I have a ‘24 350 which I like and don’t feel meaningfully outgunned by 450s. I grew up racing 2Ts and am considering going back whether it be a 300 SX or possibly a KX327, depending on how they pan out.
I had a 23 300sx and 23 350sxf, now have a 25 250sx and 25 350sxf. For me there is zero question which one handles better when the track gets rough and that is the 350 by a long way. More planted, more stable and alot more confidence inspiring. Only thing the 2 stroke does better is turn a little easier but that can also be a bad thing.
When the track is smooth the 2 strokes are a blast but as soon as too many bumps appear I put the 2 stroke away. I'm also probably getting older and softer ha ha.
I have both…have had both for 4 years….I”m a 2 stroke guy at heart….I think I am faster on the 300SX, but it takes more effort/ energy….softer dirt favors the 2 stroke, hard pack blue groove favors the 4 strokes….which one is better in the rough? I have conevalve forks on both, I have a very rough sand track I ride….hands down my 300SX feels way better than my 350”s …my 300 also has a great remap that lets it rev longer….the 350 needs to be ridden at very high rpm to access that HP, while the 300 can be short shifted, IMO that lets the suspension work better in the rough….
