All the 300 needs is a pipe and silencer to increase the overrev, and a two stroke pipe snd silencer is cheap compared to the same four stroke parts.

Ok, here’s my take on it. I bought the XC300 for my off-road bike and absolutely loved it. So I sold my ‘19 350 which was totally dialed in and bought the SX300. I tried to like it, but in the end it was more like riding a 500 2-stroke, than riding a 250 2-stroke. I gave up and sold it, then bought a ‘23 350. I have both bikes… hundreds of hrs on 2 different 350”s, and have 55hrs on my 300Sx. The only issue I had with my 300 was to have the TPI reset after getting the ECU tuned to spread out the monster midrange hit. The 350 is easier to ride but not as fast as the 300 but…. If you are not up to the task of riding the 300, it will work you…I love the 350”s and feel they are still the best Vet/ old guy bikes… but if you have a 2 stroke itch that needs to be scratched...

My friend has a new 300SX, I have a nicely modded 17 FC350, and prefer the 350. The 300 has a bunch of bottom end power but falls on it's face if you try and rev it, while the 350 has that Goldilocks "just right" power throughout the entire rev range. The 3honey does feel light and willing to change direction, but I prefer the predictability of my 350. Both are utterly fantastic machines. 50+ vet intermediate, 160lbs.

The 300 has a lot more power than the 350. My two riding buddies got 300's and I opted for a 350. We all came off 250 2 strokes and were evenly matched speed wise on the 250's. I have to work my arse off to keep up with them now. Food for thought!

As said above Langham clearly knows his shit and is well acquainted with the orange bikes, hold fire for a reply before throwing money down dude 😂 I really wanted the 300 to be awesome and I've paid a lot of attention and it's all sounded a bit mixed if not slightly negative so far, I'm leaning toward Soggy's thought on it.
