Lots of guys in here had to walk to school uphill both ways in the snow
Are you Canadian?
I agree with the bro down for jobs and unqualified people somehow being employed and ultimately being terrible at their jobs, but still keeping them, I won't name any, but it's very obvious. Riders are not that way, they are either fast enough for they are not. If Aden does not get it done this summer, he will be out regardless of who his dad is. Did Kris help make him more visible, sure, but wouldn't you do the same for your son?
If someone deserves the Phoenix ride more, they need to prove it.
Anyone know what happened in Moto 1 at Unadilla? He was 8 laps down, so I’m guessing a crash or a bike failure. He’s been pretty consistently finishing in the top 30 so far this summer.

Bike failure
Damn how many bike issues have they had this year on his bike
I heard he blew his ankles out , then lost his ride. Remember he beat Deegan on his kx in the last super mini LL race. Next time I saw him it looked like he grew alot. Looked real good at Pala in the winter & won 250b at LL. 250 a next yr he crashed 1st moto & got his back tore up. Raced the motos banged up . 2nd to drew at Canadian nationals, then injured . 1st 2-3 nationals this yr , it was listed as no help for a sponsor or something like it. Gizmo mods was listed last few rounds. 250b he was faster than Drew , 250 a he was injured. Should’ve been a top 5 rider the last couple yrs.
So do we consider the experiment a success, failure or “a push”? Good he’s making the motos fairly consistently, seems mix of through qualifying and LCQs, would thing him and the team would’ve expected him to earn some points by now(maybe he has but don’t remember him finishing top 22)? Guess I would consider it a push if I was grading it, came in last minute so maybe not prepared but would think he would’ve raced himself into shape by now to get points.
I thought he would have gotten some points by now, Towers his teammate has got some. But really the kid should be proud, coming in short notice, qualifying, if he can keep at it points will come for sure.
My interpretation listening to their podcast, Kris seems to think making it through the season without injury is the only goal and the kid seems to have taken that to heart a little more than the team would like. Has some speed but either fitness or willingness to send it seem to be lacking a little.
I think lil keefer is a lil banged up right now to.
Hes doing good. Almost made it through so far. Has made every national unless he had a bike issue. Solid start hes consistent so far. I'd expect consisten 17-24 by next year. Points every moto is a strong 2nd year for him.
The other week on Blair and Matthes show they had a stats guy on and were asking him question and Aden Keefer was the most passed 250 rider by a ridiculous amount. Off the top of my head he was like -130 positions, next highest was like -70
Results after 9 rounds. Round 1 was a DNQ.

If you consider his lack of racing experience, I think he's doing pretty well honestly. He's right there with guys that were amateur phenoms when Aden wasn't racing.
Clearly he doesn't have the fitness to go 30+2, but he wasn't training for tha when this opportunity popped up.
He's a smooth rider with great technique, and he's has good guidance on bike setup, riding and the mental side in his pops. If you look at this season as a learning experience and build on that for next year, I think he's going to be alright.
If I was a satellite team looking at riders, I'd choose Keefer over guys that are finishing a bit in front of him right now because of the added exposure and potential upside. We are aware of him and his progress a whole lot more than anyone else finishing outside of the points.
There's a pocket of guys in western PA/eastern Ohio with no money, who will put 30 seconds on that kid in work boots after working a full shift at a diesel mechanic shop on Friday. If I had a semi truck, a budget, and needed to find talent, that's where I'd go. Those guys are still hungry, and that hunger cant be tought. I wouldn't be messing with podcasters and Instagrammers these days. No offense to yinzers, podcasters, or instagrammers.
Yeah, who? Name a couple. Maybe at the local but rolling into thunder valley when they’ve never been there is going to be a little tougher.
Pro125 if they would let him run leaded gas…I look at this a lot like Evan Ferry. Given too much too son and let to injuries and low confidence. One thing he has going for him is he’s stayed injury free and his dad seems to keep him grounded. Early in the season he kinda talked down on the riders in the back of the pack and his dad checked him during podcast and now he’s hanging out with those riders all season long
Those guys aren't pitting out of a semi with a mechanic and a manager either. Bryton Carroll comes to mind.
Pit Row
Perhaps the real question is then why don't you have this semi and budget to take advantage of this wisdom?
Because part or being wise is knowing a horrible investment when you see one; Motocross is exhibit A.
Keefer seems to be humble and a hard worker from what I've seen, Ferry is(was?) someone who didn't want to work hard and just wanted to ride and post clips on IG. Different IMO
