Because I’m sure JT got a talking to last time he mentioned Deegs cheating during the broadcast, it’s off limits now

My tin foil hat theory is that Mike is scrambling to throw together a des nations team and doesn’t want to upset anyone right now.

I say that with some sarcasm for those who struggle with the internet.

When did MX fans become such whiny f#cks?

NBC/COCK is growing the sport by bringing in NEW Trans fans* when you only have a scar to rub you pussify what you can't do...

His little flick into cross jump in front of JL was consistent with his attitude as well

We have a similar theory, except I'll hold back the sarcasm. If the AMA penalizes Deegs for that obvious offtrack excursion, there is no way Deegs would do the MXoN IMO.

So it'll be a puss move not penalizing him (OR) puss move not going to MXoN for being penalized. Placing my bet on him not being penalized.

Apparently they have switched to giving license points instead of docking positions. Jesson Turner cut 10 times in 250 Moto 1 and was penalized with last gate pick and 10 license points. He finished in the points at 19th.

I’ve asked in multiple threads here on where he cut and trying to understand the reasoning behind the inconsistency in penalty for track cutting but I’ve gotten nothing.

I thought the EXACT same thing as soon as I saw it.  He went all the way up the hill OUTSIDE 5 white track markers.  As we always hear, “rules are rules”.  We will see if anything happens?

Rules only apply to Australians he is American so no penalty

Like Haiden Deegan has never been penalized...ever...

We are fked for des nations... likely for many years to come... cringe lord likely can't even pull a top ten and he's probably the fastest we could send... and not that talibandeegan would even go unless he's paid 6 digits for being sooo fn special.. so we are looking at j coop, hymas, and I don't even know who as our realistic team... yayyyyy.... loll

In the separate thread that ML512 just posted, it looks like the AMA assessed Haiden 1 license point. This stern punishment should certainly change his behavior going forward.

1 license point for THAT? Lolll. Thats even worse. Its one thing if they said they missed it and he got no penalty, it happens, but no.. to acknowledge that they in fact did see him pinning it off track for an entire section and then gave him the penalty which doesnt do anything at all except allows them to say they gave a penalty even though nothing happens… is insane. Just keep it even across the board this shit is so ridiculous. For jett to get docked a position to go off the track for 3 feet and haiden gets a license point for skipping an entire section of track, what the hell are we doing ama? The only consistency they have is with how inconsistent they are.

Without consistent rules we have no sport.

Most of us don’t watch people doing practice laps. We watch racing.

The big thing for me is that it appears going off track was a choice, not a mistake, and there is a long pattern of this behaviour. Not penalising a place, as they did for Jett, can be nothing but deliberate at this stage.

Ama needs to be consistent.   If not, this will turn into the WNBA.

Its one thing to get bent out of shape and go off the track, its another completely different thing of they go off track to gain traction, shorten the track or avoid a rough track.

If you slow it down you can clearly see the back end skips left and shoots him a lil right and when he hits the next bump his momentum pulls him a lil further right outside the markers but inside the race track banners. Stayed tight to the markers.

I don't see an issue nothing gained nothing lost. Now he makes it into the grass past the banners different story. Ive been watching riders since those stakes came out use them as a loose guideline lol.

Jetts penalty is completely different he went completely off the track accelerated around a blind corner around the back side of the berm in the legit water atv media lanes. I dont agree with his penalty either in any way. For 1 he lost enough time having to go way the fuck around.

I avoid commenting  on these Deegan and Lawrence things, but, bloody hell, that voice I hear saying "Hunter makes a small mistake, then Deegan makes one as well", is just f**king ridiculous.

Hunter has  bobble, Deegan takes a deliberate line, damned near all the way up out of Screw U, and the commentator gives them equivalency?

WTF?

Here's a scenario : If Deegan does go to the MXdN this year, and he pulls such line 'creativity', and the FIM nail him for that with a real penalty, imagine the squealing about how the Euros "are out to get the USA Team"................
