I don't think Aldon has anything to do with Julien's improvements (but I could be mistaken).  Pretty sure 3strokemx has it right - Davi trains Julien...

It is a bit off putting that Aldon gets as much credit that he does; he typically picks up champions, puts them on a concentration camp diet, and burns out a lot of them (AC, KR, JA, etc.).  He did help RV and RC trim down and get super fit, but they were already champs.

Julien is not with Davi. He’s at bakers this year.

Right. He was with Davi in the past but moved over to Bakers this year. Ryder D is with Davi now. I believe Juju’s step forward outdoors is a result of his move.

Pretty certain JuJu explains in an interview with Lewis he was working with Aldon. Maybe Millsaps is still a riding coach/mentor?

Where are all the people that have me a ration of shit when I suggested this back when Chase was losing his shit and ghost-riding his bike into the pits?

I think they under eat. I wanted to sneak Marvin Musquin some food back in the day.

Marvin always looked like that though pretty much since he's been in the GPs. Some people are just naturally that thin/skinny and have hard time putting weight on. He still threw a 450 around like he was riding a mountain bike. Super underrated style

Agree on AP though, ever since outdoors last summer he isn't the same guy anymore.

Think I remember AP making an Instagram video defending Baker and his weight saying he's always had a hard time putting on weight then in an interview this year talking about his recovery he said he put on something like 10 lb if not 15 Alden definitely starves his riders.

Bradshaw and Yamaha is a good match. Otherwise, maybe Reed because of the early-mid 2000s. Excited to see Mookie on a Kawi.

Pretty sure Bradshaw has been doing some adventure rides and other things for Yamaha for a little while now.

No, I heard Julian B went to Aldon and apparently the break from Davi didn't go well..

You know what’s wild….all the talk about Aldons and overtraining/under eating

Jason Anderson has an under active thyroid…that can be onset by under eating and over training.  Ask me how I know.

I didn't hear the break with Davi was bad between him and JuJu, that's too bad. JuJu seems to be responding to Aldon's training though, seems like for some riders Aldon's deal works others not so much. Roczen seems the most prominent that it didn't work for that I can think of.

Is it just me or does it seem to start well with Aldon and dudes always get burnt out or too thin or both and end up unhealthy in a hole?

Spot on. I know the exact same way but second hand.

With wrestling some D1 schools and top flight HS teams will have the lower weights get all ther blood work done regularly and thyroid checked regularly.

Thats the only criticism I have on aldons program and ive heard it first hand a few times not just the 2nd hand guys getting out of there. He needs to let those guys eat 500-1k more kcals daily. Thats doesn't seem like a lot but its hige by the end of the week especially the grind those guys are on. I havent seen a guy there that looks healthy when it comes to mx. Aldons guys all look like pro tour cyclists

I see the point of getting them down and under control but once the base is established and the cravings and sneakingfoods over get those guys 3-5 lbs of weight back on and it will be a huge difference.

Doug Henry is as Yamaha as anyone but not sure he needs or wants a new “job”.  Four stroke pioneer, first to win a Supercross, then premier class motocross championship.  Raced Yamaha snowmobiles, including X-Games and adaptive, and super moto.  For the latter, won several races and an x-Games gold.

My thyroid crashed from exactly this 12 years ago and I’ve been living in a constant balancing act with managing fatigue, cortisol and medication increases since then.

It happens to elite endurance athletes often.  Especially ones cutting weight and doing high volume

Most endurance athletes, even ones without symptoms of hypothyroidism yet, have higher than usual TSH numbers just not quite high enough to damage the organ itself

This is exactly why I over eat and under train. My thyroid is far too important to me and my family.

Remember Coop being very vocal about it back then when he left the first time. He also said he didn't like how all riding together and sharing speed advantages with fellow riders. But hey then he goes to Star. But again this was a few years ago when he first went to Aldons..

Davi seems like a little bit of a head case. I’m sure he has a lot of vital information and did a good job with JuJu but seems when things start to go a little south they go full down hill. What happened with the track he was opening in AZ?

Aldon just loves starving guys for some reason...

Weird.
