USA. Put Deegan on a 250 or don't even invite him.

Three months ago everyone was calling him the best 250 rider in the world. Turn down the invitation four years in a row, that's all you get.

Very fair points there.

Tomac is unfortunately not a top pick at the moment if he can’t show the speed hes had previously.  I believe it’s in there but can he uncork it in a couple months is tough to know.

US team this year is tough.

I’ve got Belgium 1, Spain 2 and USA 3.

I don’t think Deegan, JCoop and Beaumer is a bad team.  As long as JCoop is 100%.

Will be tight at the top of everyone rides to their potential.

Netherlands and France will be very tough to beat as well. There are so many good teams these days.

There's currently injury/ form questions in nearly every team, that make it a hard call at this stage.

Has he not proved in this very short amount of time that he is, a top 450 rider at least outdoors.  He's not going back to a 250 and that is absolutely a bad take.

He has been top American at every round so you may be right.

Like him or not, he is the best American rider currently. It can’t even be debated.

Why do you think Donger will even show up? He's not gone three years in a row. Him and his dad Lips won't go unless they're paid and are very likely to win. Which I would argue shows how 'patriotic' they really are.

USA baby🇺🇸🇺🇸 sh!t happens we live to fight another day “don't crash in the first turn😂” proud of the effort and grateful I was able to carry the flag on the podium!

Deegan is def gonna be captain America whether we like it or not, because he deserves it. He’s the fastest 450 racer we have at the moment. Tomac is not it, and should probably take the off season off to get ready for supercross.

You must know why he would go this time, and it doesn’t have to have anything to do with “patriotism” (although there’s nothing wrong with that as a reason to go).

France in their backyard will be tough to beat, my dark horse is Spain to win.

He could win motos on a 250 though which is a huge deal at the event. Two decent 450 riders and one top 250 rider is a great team. If they send juju or hymas for 8-12 moto scores it's a different story

Spain has it looking at riders current form and shape. 2 month left so anything can happen.

Depends on the selections and shape of the day.

Vlaanderen expressed interest to race for South Africa again, but it could very well be het stays with The Netherlands. If that's the case, they will have to convince De Wolf to step on a 250. Not sure if he feels for that.

Prado-Farrés-Fernández seems the logical choice for Spain, if Prado wants to make the trip. They still have García to place in the Open class.

7/29/2026 1:48am
I reckon Spain this year. Prado wants to prove to Europe how fast he's going in America. Farres is in his comfort zone here in Europe in the MXGP setting. Fernandez can put MXGP Moto wins together when he needs to. Spain is overlooked- perhaps less pressure than the others.

I voted France. Their at home, they tend to step up big at this event.

The caveat is Lucas. If he is dealing with a compressed nerve, time is the main thing needed, and those things are slow as shit to heal. If he can be 100%, I'd give Belgium the nod.

I am not sure Hymas is up to speed and therefore a good choice. He seems a bit off pace. Time will tell.
spain is definitely the dark horse. Should be an interesting event. Might get the tv pass.

Edit: and for the US sake I do hope that deegan goes. Makes the event a bit extra spicy. Especially with the very mixed crowd.

Spain or France for sure are favorite's. USA team isn't strong enough + Deegan probably wouldn't show up anyway. Belgium is fast enough but Coenens will crash inevitably. If I was a betting man I'd be betting on Spain with Farres and Fernandez's recent form.

If C Bro’s are anywhere near back to their earlier form this year, Belgium wins by a landslide.

Australia B+ Team. Beaton, Webster, Minear.

As someone else mentioned, every top team has an injury concern or asterisk, so it's wide open right now.

Australia gets the unlikely 3peat though! 🇦🇺

RJ wouldn't be a bad choice for the MX3 class. He'll give you his best no matter what, and lately he's been pretty solid. JCoop if he's healed up, but Hampshire as a 2nd choice.

I'm also down for Beaumer in MX2 if he keeps riding and getting starts like he has been. Kitchen is faster but very inconsistent. We'd basically be throwing one of his motos away by default, and then anyone else has to ride perfectly in both their motos.

Like it or not, Deegan is our best choice for MX1.

Stupid question - would we not invite Kitchen? Does Kawi really have that much pull over PC?

But my next pick would be Netherlands.
