Yep. Everything is DC's, MX Sports, or Feld's fault. Does not matter who comes on with the facts or anything relevant, it just gets turned around. Don't waste your time with logic as the wannabe's always have to blame the "big guys" or "corporations" that are holding them back......

Exactly. I've done plenty of independent contractor work. Always in the contract exactly when I'll be paid. Up to me to put in direct deposit info, if I do then the money gets deposited that day, if I don't they cut a check and it's in the mail that day and I get emailed documentation saying check is in the mail. This stuff isn't complicated. They all have pro license and have to sign up, promoter has enough info. I'm guessing none of them head out for practice without the entry fee being paid and just a trust me bro I'll get it to you. This is the kind of stuff that is just embarrassing for the sport. Probably some high school dropout that was fast on a dirt bike once in charge of payroll.

IF the riders are contractors with the AMA, and I don't know if that's the case, then they probably have to fill out a 1099 form. A conventional contract arrangement world then involve invoicing with agreed upon "NET" terms like NET 60 which means they are obligated to pay you in the next 60 days. This situation is likely different.
So what don't we know?
While riders are contractors with the teams, are they contractors with the AMA/Feld/MXSports?
Is it possible some riders didn't submit proper tax documents?
Could the NET terms be long enough that's the holdup? NET 90 used to be very normal.
Do riders need to invoice to get paid?
All due respect, but how much would riders near the back of the top 40 be getting? 10 bucks or maybe some warmed up fries?
I think it's the following:
10 grand for first and then progressively smaller amounts on down to 21st, with 21st getting 10 bucks.
From 22nd onwards the riders start paying to race (on top of their sign up fees). 22nd pays 10 bucks to race, with the amount increasing on up to 40th place - who pays 10 grand to race...
I'm pretty sure he's having a 'little break' from the forum. One that was not self-imposed...
