Cheers to the Martins...  Wonderful motocross track!!

  • perfect amount of 'rip' leading to only ruts where they belong - in corners..
  • Limited Easy-Ups blocking fence-lines
  • Zero mulch
  • Did I mention it's no cordory pants / hair comb straits?

Attention ALL slot car tracks ..   please adjust accordingly

The changes have actually made the best track on the circuit even better. Incredible racing, loads of great passes

Are there a lot of hotels around the track, in 1 hour region? Because this is a MXDN track!

Not as many as they need, Minneapolis around one hour.  Roads in are not many or large.

Makes me really want to go ride Millville. Another Pulp ride day this fall?

This was the best prepped track thus far; raceable with multiple lines.

And you can do the  11 round super series.  Big weekends fri practice race sat, sun. Otherwise practice sat race sun.  I was going to work & live there 4 yrs ago. But the Rochester ymca closed.  I,d need that working at the track & really for riding.  You could race fri night fair race series n of the cities.  Fair races during the week too.

I thought they did a great job on the track/prep. I've felt the last few year's that Spring Creek is a bit underrated. I know there is a lot of hype on Redbud like it's the pinnacle of the Series. Atmosphere aside, I think Spring Creek has consistently been a better track. It's exciting and seems to race well.

Millville has always been the best track imo, however I preferred it with the sand whoops and the straight Mt Martin downhill. Other changes were good.

I haven't even ridden there but ive got 100s of laps at red bud. There is no comparison anymore. In the late 90s and early 2000s red bud was it. Its not now due to the prep. Martins have the prep on lock.

Look at that POS track the GP boys are racing in Great Britain...   Just ZERO fun for them, and whatta way to turn off folks from wanting to race moto....  I'd rather race Ersburgur... (spell'g)

I hope you're joking? Both series have a decent track this weekend! Would loved to see them race the rocky surface from the worn out Foxhill version, but the updated version is nice! Maybe a bit too much jumps (the uphill rollers didn't have to be there for me personally.)

Good amount of hotels in Rochester (40 minute drive) and an infinite amount of hotels in Minneapolis (little over an hour drive).

I think the Martin Family is showcasing that they can handle a MXdN event.

It would be a blast, they can also fill the sides with people if needed. MxSport really need to think about that, because it is a great track and not that "mushy, foamy" deep rutted, over prepped with wood chips, compost, mulch and being a slot racing fest like Red Bud. I understand why people hype that race because it is in the 4th of July weekend, but the track is getting worse and worse in my opinion.

This track prep is more how I would try to make a track look like. Going to the natural soil to get a diverse selection of races.

Do you ride?

Riding red bud kind of sucks these days. Each time I go I hope to get the feelings back that I used to have after riding there. Milville looked 10x more fun to ride and the race ability was far better.

Do we credit Phil for the track prep? Did he do the whole track in 15min like he said? And can we have him do the rest of the series?

Awesome race to watch!

Most people stay in south bend for red bud, not like that's next door. Plenty of hotels within reasonable drive for mxon.

Have to wonder if having a couple guys who have ridden plenty of pro nationals intimately involved with prep is part of the reason it's been so good lately. Maybe some of the other tracks and track builders should find some former pros to bring in to help?

They made Mt. Martin “safer”, and then Jett goes and eats crap on the “safer” part. The irony.

That little jump there was about the only thing I didn't like about the changes.

The turn into the uphill was awesome, Deegan showing how to use that was pretty cool. I thought the detour going down the hill was pretty cool overall, still using the big corner that used to lead into the uphill, but I wish the jump wasn't there, just make it an off camber uphill bump.

I was really sceptical about them changing Mt Martin when I heard it on Pulp's Moto 60 show, but overall I thought it was a good change for racing.

FWIW, Schaefer Tracks has a massive input with design and dirt work with the track at Spring Creek. They never get any credit.

Same with Hangtown (which everyone loved the last 2 years) and Thunder Valley.

I have no involvement with them but longtime friends with Shane as he originally hails from Racine, WI.

2028 MXON is in the US again but the venue is still TBA, is there a chance?

I wouldn’t say they never get credit. I think Shane is regarded as one of, if not the best track builder in the country. Just don’t ask Marchbanks.

Was far more one-lined with the changes. There were maybe 1-2 passes in the area they changed in both classes combined. It maybe made it safer, but definitely took away passing.

Well, 3 passes for the lead happened there...
