Can we just let him get gate drops and two 30 min Motos in. He might be in the top 5. Maybe. But I bet he's going to be top 10. And that's a major plus coming back at his age. I'm the biggest supporter of ET3. But let's be realistic. Enjoy and respect whatever happens

You can do whatever you would like.

Honestly depends if he wants it or not. I can see him getting a 2-3 maybe being up there for a W, I can also see him getting 8-10, and I would not be the least bit surprised with either result.

Good point.  No telling where his head is.  He is either coming out full send to win or not.

This is such great news!!  I don’t think he’d line up if he wasn’t expecting to be close to himself.  But that’s the thing with MX, it’s tough to be in race shape without racing.  I’ll say 5-6, and hope I’m wrong and he’s better than that.

But this absolutely gives promise to a potential MXoN final showing.

I like Tomac - Deegan - Ryder D

Let’s go!!!

i don't think Eli would be racing if his head wasn't right. on raceday he will decide how comfortable he is on the bike and push accordingly. if he feels good he will be very competitive

I disagree,  Look at SX.  In the middle of the season, he was 20%+ off where he was at the beginning, denied injury, and it lasted until Denver.  I think he just loses the fire and then is "not comfortable".  I totally understand.  He has been doing it for a long time, has stacks of cash, a family etc etc.  I think he really wants to get one more title and go out on top....just not sure he can lay it out there to get it.  I want that badly for him too!

I really like Garrett and think he is hauling ass. That being said, I don't think Tomac finishes 1 minute back from the leaders. 30 seconds, 40 seconds. Maybe. But he came back last summer after years of no outdoors and still ran within a few seconds a lap of the leaders. By third race he was on the podium.

Eli is fast as shit outdoors. Even if he has lost speed he isn't going to be back there with Garrett and Cooper Webb. Get out of here with that

This is a pleasant surprise. I assume it means he's been riding for a couple weeks at least?

Hope he does well and improves every week

FWIW I read a rumor from someone who knows people close to Eli, and they were saying that he was hiding back pain during SX. That seems likely enough for me because if you watch the later season SX races, you notice that he's not doing anything with full extension, he's just standing straight up and very neutral, no squatting or hanging off the back through whoops.

Tomac could push his bike around the track and still beat Webb...

I had also heard he had Covid? He would be fast in qualifying and the heats then fade half way through the mains there for a few rounds. Either way they both make sense.

I’m just happy to hear he’s back to 100% and hungry to get out and race again! I’m excited to watch!

Did somebody say TOMAC?

I’ll say he gets fifth. I don’t see him beating Jett, Hunter, Deegan and Prado right now. I wouldn’t be surprised if he finishes behind Marchbanks too.

I don’t care where he finishes, as long as he finishes and I get to watch him line up professionally again. That was a gnarly crash at Pala.

Eli is always in shape, only now he should be refreshed not having been beat up by the rigors of the outdoor season.

I think he finishes ahead of Prado, so that's 4th, at worst.  I also think, it being Millville, that he finishes ahead of Deegan at least 1 of the motos.

Eli was not good at Millville last year, but has been good at times there. Likely, we will just see him get back into the swing of racing this weekend. The guy needs a couple of motos staying off the ground before he will really go for it.

By the end of the day yesterday, there were quite a few videos of ET3 ridging at Fox Raceway and in interview taken at the track

Eli said he's been on the bike for 2 weeks, Neck is 100% and he feels 100%. also said his motivation was he loves racing and wants to get back into the battle. Said he's tired of watching the races from the couch.

Really hope he is good enough to be the new 3rd place lock. If he’s healthy that’s no problem for him but depends on his recovery status.

That's what I like to hear.  Hopefully it means he'll just keep racing as long as he's able to be reasonably competitive.  I like it when great athletes stick around as long as they can.

How refreshing would it be for Deegs to have to redirect his attention off the brothers and now have to deal with the new guy! Cant wait!
