This 250 class is extremely weak. And look at the 450s. Deegan is the only American who can show a little bit of promise against the Lawrence brothers, Coenen and Prado. We can deny it all we want, but the reality is our amateur program is god awful. The Lawrence brothers have been racing SX since turning pro too, but they came in from the GP series having already been through their amateur races. And they’ve been doing great at SX. It’s not a split series issue. It’s the pre-professional series amateur program that’s the issue.

He’s from Spain and is leading the EMX250 class in Europe. He just signed a deal with factory Kawi (the team Febvre rides for) to go to the MX2 class next year.
