I think another surgery might be on the cards for Jett if by the end of SMX his recovery hasn't progressed the way him and his team would have hoped. He will probably have to weigh up having surgery to get scar tissue removed and more time off the bike vs dealing with limited mobility for the rest of his career and not being able to ride to his full potential. Even a few more degrees of range of motion would make another surgery worth it. When you have 12 weeks of non weight bearing post original surgery and limited movement you are really up against it with your recovery. Time will tell.
There's something about the "Not being professional" conversation I can't figure out. I know it's not a professional look like other sports. I get that. But who's really upset by it ?, and do those people being upset somehow "Hurt the sport" ? Is someone not going buy a dirtbike now because Jett waved a camera out of his face and said fuck ? Are there people on the fence that much that that could sway them away to a different form of recreation ? Are there parents out there thinking about buying dirtbikes for their kids and maybe even getting into racing that are going to change their minds because they saw "A" motocross racer slamming his helmet down after a bad race or kicking his bike off the stand ? Are they going to switch to Hockey ? or Baseball, Football or some other sport ? Watching guys wad up and get carted off seems like more of a deterrent to me and they show crashes repeatedly from several angles. Are the TV networks going to drop SX/MX because of some post race drama ? eeehhhhh probably.... not ? What does growing the sport even mean ? More spectators ? Or more people buying bikes and signing up to race at their local track ? (The few that are left) I can't see an individual or family who wants to get into dirt bike racing, not get into dirt bike racing because of some "Colorful" moments from racers who are caught up in the heat of the moment. Are sponsors going to take their money somewhere else over it ? When motocross racers are caught being "A little rough around the edges" compared to other mainstream sports, who and what does it hurt ? And how ? Me personally ? Fuck I thought it was great, that's a side of the sport that anyone who's done it can relate to. Me and my circle of misfits laughed it off and said holy shit those guys were pissed, could you imagine that happening to you ? Fuck I'd be pissed too. And then didn't give it another thought and went back to living our lives and talking about next week. I like, no love the fact that motocross isn't all polished and proper. Does that make me white traaa... nah lets don't go there those posts got deleted 😄. Upward and onward to next week. I'm missing the "Big deal" of it all 🙅♂️ Not trying argue just legitimately curious, who is going to change their course of action over something like that ? No one I know, maybe there's people like that out there but I sure don't know any. Bring on Southwick !! 😄

Isn't it legal to bet on SX/MX races now? I have never seen someone so upset to win a race before, especially after throwing out the boat anchor near the end of the moto which is beyond at all normal for him, even in this season.

Really what you saying is ,you don’t wanna know the truth. You wanna believe that the riders are perfect. Nothing is wrong with Jett or Big Brothers behavior. If I was paying riders the big bucks , I would want them to be upset when things go wrong. These guys are fierce competitors. Winning is everything.💯
I believe in the five minute cooldown rule. If I have a bad race I pull over after the finish and collect myself before I go back to the truck. I’ve instructed my son to do the same. I think the comparison to other sports is slightly off. When a baseball player strikes out or QB throws an interception they haven’t been redlined at 190+ bpm for 35 minutes straight. I don’t agree with the way they reacted but I also don’t have a problem with it. You want raw reactions sometimes people might not like what they hear.

I disagree those first moments after they take the helmet off and talk to the team are awesome. You can't get any more real than that.
