I dont think it's fair to expect a pro racer to be polished in the tv booth. They are there to provide color commentary, coming from someone who has lived it. I think it's great. He's not perfect but he does the job just fine. And coming from someone of his status is cool. I know some ppl also don't like RC but I think he's fine too. Jeff did a good job, also. I'd much rather hear things through the eyes of a legend of the sport than some non-moto person with perfect grammar, that NBC picked. The play by play guy, I think is more critical for that type of stuff, not the ex-pro color commentator. 

James has been spot on.  I'm not looking for an English professor.   I want insight and foresight which he has.

I'm not defending the OP, but according to GuyB, James did have an account, and did actually post here (Steve never said the screen name). But he was run off by the braintrust for apparently not knowing what he was talking about.

James is real solid as an announcer. The sport is better with him involved.

I'm a fan of James in the booth. I really like how he is technical without the sensationalism that RC and Emig bring/brought. Let the professional talking head do all the "WOWS" and mislabel a single, single, table as a quad (though I think Ricky correctly calls that a triple.)

James is really really good, casual free flowing language but still with deep insight what a motorcycle is doing and the best of it all, it really feels (I don't know if it's the truth) that he is very very neutral to all riders. If someone is doing great he says so, if someone is not really he says so... I might be wrong, but to me it always felt RC has his favourites/preferences... James is super good!

I think Weege and James are the best all-time announcers.  I cannot believe they are not first team SX announcers.

James Stewart is the best analyst I've heard since David Bailey.. he's so good!  Him and Weege make a great broadcast pairing and I hope they don't change this up anytime soon.

James has some of the most intelligent and deep insight of anyone who has commented on dirt bikes, and he’s got a great personality and keeps it light and entertaining in the booth. He spent years absolutely sending it for our viewing pleasure, and it’s a dream to have him in the booth. He’s an icon in our sport and deserves our utmost respect.

Also, OP can absolutely go fuck himself in his trailer and I hope his portable AC breaks in August.
