He did...but now he seems to no longer be helping him...

Or perhaps you think Tucker Sexton's career is going well?

Okay Keir.

Since we’re assuming things, I’m going to assume you felt like a huge failure typing something so stupid.

Chase just said in an interview with Lewis it was pent up frustration building over the last few months. Then he said he got his foot caught in the chain and had to dump it, it was an accident. But he’s sorry he let his frustrations get the better of him……

Chase talks about the ghost ride in the beginning:

In his interview with Lewis he took plenty of accountability and apologized multiple times.  I’m a human too, and I can forgive someone who owns up to their mistakes.  I’m a big fan of Chase and want him healthy and riding at his best.  Makes our sport more fun to watch

Best I can understand “yeah I got caught in my chain going through my washer to put the bike back, and I just let the clutch out”

He's talking about the chain across the pit entrance.

That was my understanding too; the chain petitioning off the pits, not the chain on the bike.
I think Renner’s version from two different parties said the same.

Ahhhhh, true. Him saying “my” totally made me think it had to be him directly, the bike being an extension of him.

So the truth finally comes out, appropriately, on page 23.
So where’s all the apologies from everyone that was outraged and jumping to conclusions without knowing any facts?

This is fucked up, but I did laugh out loud. :-)

I hope he's not injured.

Good on him for being available and answering, hoping he gets his confidence back on the bike and it works for him.  It's better racing when he's on it.

Not disputing, but having a hard time visualizing what happened (not that it matters, just the way my brain works).  Slow rolling into the pits feet off the pegs and caught the chain lying on the ground?

I dunno if we see him again this outdoors.

Next week seems too soon with that hit, but I'd not be surprised to see him at Red Bud if he hasn't seriously dinged something.   I'd also not be surprised if like you say he's done for the season, but it sure seems like he needs to make this work to prove to folks that he's gotten past the challenges he's experienced or made for himself over the last few years.

that was a very damning interview reading between the lines. "Pent up anger", "6 months of frustration" etc etc. he's mentally checked out. the sirens at Kawi should be blaring.

I was the first to rag on Prado last year but hand up he was right.  Factory Kawi is a disaster.

Chase isn't a good barometer of a teams quality. Anyone with some sense would pull off if there's a bike issue. They're at elevation, in practice. He should know something's up.

wasn't even referring to yesterdays event really.. this is two years of a team seemingly spinning it's wheels/going backwards, with two different elite riders.  Eli left because he needed a better bike.  RJ, Mookie, JCoop are all choosing something other then the Kawi next year

was a big Sexton fan until recently.

He reminds me of when you play excite bike and mess up on the first jump, you just start the game over.  Sexton doesnt do well the first race or two and throws in the towel.

I felt this way before yesterdays crash.

He was a lucky one.
