Deegan is progressing and adapting very fast but the Jett vs Deegan promos before the season even started were beyond cringe. Glad that’s over.

He's up against old guard riders, Barcia, Ferandez, Sexton, Tomac, Webb etc. Its pretty easy pickings for a young charger. But wait, hes the same age as Jett.

He faded like Temu printed coffee cup after Hunta passed him. Ran off track, cut the course and nearly wadded up 3x a lap holding off 96. If Pradas motor didnt konk out he may have got him.

His riding technique has to change for the 450 or it'll turn him into ground beef.

I believe Danger Boy has a very high ceiling. Both nationals so far you can clearly see there’s work to be done. I think his fitness needs to come up to handle a 450 2 full motos. He faded in the first moto and I don’t think he fully recovered for the 2nd. I also think the bike set up is off some still but it was better than Pala. Will he ever be able to run with Jett , remains be seen , but 2 races in and counting him out is too early. Jett and Hunter and the entire team Honda are firing on all  cylinders , those bikes are dialed. Jett is the most dominant rider we’ve ever seen. He’s riding injured and today he dominated. If Danger Boy never gets there it certainly won’t be from a lack of effort. I hope he does, how great that would be for MX fans…..💯

He seemed very humbled. I like the fact he gave them props on the podium.

He was closer in moto1, arm pump (he said) caused the fall off in moto2.

He will figure that out. He was just a tick off Jetts pace. And equal to Hunter until Deegs slowed a bit.

He's doing great as a rookie in the class. And Jett is faster than I thought he'd be, damn what an impressive second moto.

Jett knows without a doubt its only a matter of time before deegan passes him and doesnt look back.

Jett, with or without a bad hoof, is not sweating or losing sleep over Deegs any time soon. Laid 20 seconds of wood to him all day, peg leg and all.

It looked like he was hammering into the braking bumps while the brothers float over them better and flow faster into the mid corner. Watching how hard and deep his suspension was working in those bumps,  its no wonder he pumped or and/or fatigued late in the race. I told the wife as it happened that I thought the heavier bike was beating him up and making him tired those last 10 minutes.

To be the third fastest guy in 450's already is impressive and I think he'll get faster. Of course the brothers could too.

He'll beat Jett. He needs to figure it out. He's two races in. Before the season is over, he will get an overall.

While I agree completely the smack talk before the season was painful, everyone seems soooo quick to forget that Jett was talking about beating MC’s 72 wins before he even lined up.. Jett copped a lot for that back then and now it’s just a distant memory

Premature ejaculation going on here...Deegan is exceeding expectations so far in my opinion.

Deegans rise has been over for 5 years, the first one was when he goes pro hes done.

Everyone knows the rest of the story.

Jetts GF was there today too, I'd just feel like such a cock after having her name on my sleeveless shirt

He hasn’t missed any races due to injury unlike Jett, so there’s that.

His rides the last 2 weeks have been very impressive.
I believe his spot on the podium is his to lose.
The cream does rise to the top.

Jett is better than Deegan and always will be. In fact, for those who have not been noticing, he's better than everyone. Today he looked like Jett again - and consequently - he smoked everyone.

Deegan will not beat a "healthy" Jett for a title ever, period. I'm just happy to see his massive ego get deflated so quickly.

Healthy is part of it. If Jett gets hurt practicing or  racing and Deegan wins that’s the way it goes. If Deegan is more resilient year over year then he deserves credit for practicing and racing within those limits.

The fun thing about haiden Deegan is he seems to have an RC like psychopath tendency on the track. He will die to win. That tells me he will close the gap and we will get some fun racing.

Unfortunately for him Jett Lawrence is probably the greatest motocrosser I have ever seen. He’s ridiculous. So I think Deegan will straight up beat them at some point, but they will beat him more.

Little man just got fed +15 seconds on both motos by the brothers.

And one of them had half a leg.

Ya, he’s fucked.

He’s 2 races into his 450 career my guy lol. If this version of Jett and hunter were racing during Jetts rookie year, rookie Jett would be 3rd as well.

He should have been more humble.  He's chasing an all-timer.  So long as Jett is healthy, it will forever be an uphill battle for him.

Lets face it, Hangtown is probably the easiest track on the nationals. Deegs will be struggling top 5 next week.

Btw, what happend to J Coop?

So then if it's so "easy" then why wouldn't he have beaten Jett? Or everyone beat him? If it's so easy then why didn't someone like Marchbanks get the podium? Sorry but that's a ridiculous statement.

If you're comparing a rider who's great in the sand to say Southwick then OK...point made, but saying ANYone finished in any certain please because the track was "easy" doesn't fly.

JCoop ran into another rider who was going down right in front of him. Pretty high speed, it looked nasty. He wasn't getting up quick at all but no idea any extent of his injuries that I've heard yet.

IMO this is the best thing for him. I know most of the antics are all a character but dude puts in the work, has insane talent & at face value is doing extremely well.  Losing by that much time will either make or break someone, in which I believe with him it will only motivate him more. Didn't he struggle at first in the 250's?

No fanboi but I absolutely love watching someone talk so much shit then go back it up. Yeah he's not beating Jett or Hunter yet but he's damn closer than anyone else even Prado long term consistently.

I remember watching DV put it to McGrath a few times and I thought back then "holy shit the King has competition finally" but wasn't consistent enough.  His whoop speed was insane.

I think Deegan has already proved at every level he has raced that he is only going to get faster and faster each race. Already showing a ton of speed and already on the podium in his second 450 race. Even Lars Lindstrom (IYKYK) in the post race interview recognizes Deegan is maybe faster than they (Honda team) thought he’d be. Deegs obviously had a great ride keeping in front of Hunter most of moto 1. 3 and 3 on the day is solid. Didn’t Jett finish 3rd last week?

Given what Deegan has done in regards to dissing Jett's GF plus the shirt RIP debacle plus other comments (in jest or not) is bound to make Jett not acknowledge him, I wouldn't either to be fair

This season maybe gets some good races with hunter. I predict he gets hunter in a race straight up by end of season. I’m sure he will get one over either of them due to luck too. Yes I get he went 20 sec down but so does everybody after you get passed at that intensity. He’s got a lot to work on. Think, he has 2 450 races on this bike now. He has a lot of technique and bike setup to do and he will do it. He may never have anything for Jett. Jett is a god on a dirtbike. Most of you guys didn’t even have him in a podium spot. He’s very clearly 3rd best right now.

Very clearly Jorge was catching him late in moto 1.

I wouldn’t say HD is ‘clearly’ tye 3rd best at this point. I need to see more.
