How many of you have used BPC-157 or TB-500 for injury or recovery? I've heard a lot of different stories so I'm looking to get a discussion started from those with firsthand experience. For those who use them, please try to explain to everyone in layman's terms as a lot of people aren't educated in this category. These conversations often spiral into acronym soup for people just learning about them, so try to keep it simple and describe how often you inject, where you inject, dose, length of use, and for what injury if possible.
I know there are a ton of peptide options out there but I believe the two listed above would be best for someone like Eli Tomac right now? Which brings up another question, has the AMA anti-doping lab ever been able to detect BPC-157 given that it's very similar to proteins found in our gut?
Discussion from Non-Moto if anyone wants to check it out.

Hopefully we can keep this in Moto as it's relevant to everyone who rides Moto. It's becoming more and more popular every year so hopefully we can get some updates from the guys who posted in that thread.
I’m also curious about this and hope someone who has used it will chime in. I’m 40, lots of old injuries and a bad back
It's not either/or. You need to stack them together for efficacy.
I used to inject straight into forearm tissue to try and get localized benefits for the damaged fascia.
My opinion: it works, but it's absolutely not the end-all solution to soft tissue damage.

Okay, this is what I'm talking about, thanks for your feedback. For everyone, when you say "stack" are you referring to two separate injections from two vials right after one another, or do you pull a certain amount of peptide from each vial into the same syringe and inject one time?
I should have noted in my OP, I think everyone realizes we aren't looking for a magic pill that cures everything, but simply something that can be used in parallel with a healthy lifestyle, diet, PT, sleep, exercise, etc.
This is accurate. You can get a “Wolverine Stack” that is equal parts BPC157 + TB500. Combined with good pt it works well for simple injuries and “small” tears. It won’t re-grow an ACL
Very popular with my crowd, they work, but its just another tool. Peptides combined with trt is quite common.
I broke my back last year and had t4-t8 fused. I have serious about my recovery and left no stone unturned. I tried pill form of 157 and 500. Honestly, how would it be possible for you, I or anyone else to accurately measure any tangible effects attributed to the stack, considering the body’s natural healing processes amongst other recovery related activities and lifestyle changes occurring in tandem (diet, exercise, rest, red light therapy, supplement and vitamins and placebo etc.).
That said, I can’t say that it doesn’t help at all. I simply don’t know and didn’t notice anything drastic enough to where it could be definitively attributed to it.
Side note. I stumbled on an interview with Pharma Bro, Martin Shkreli, who gives his thoughts on BPC 157 and he said it’s the biggest scam/BS going right now, in addition to the entire peptide boom. Can’t really put my finger on it for why, but I like the guy and think he’s credible, if nothing else entertaining.
Thanks for your feedback. For every one story like yours who says you can't definitively say it works, or didn't feel anything, I hear a few opposite stories from people who've had a positive experience. As for determining efficacy, I guess it would be for those who've had lingering injuries they can't get rid of and have tried everything else, all while practicing a healthy lifestyle and doing the obvious.
As for being a scam, there's no huge money being made with it at the moment until big Pharma learns how to patent a modified version of it for profit. Until then, it's just compounding labs direct to consumer.
Wrong. Plenty of studies point to standalone BPC effectiveness without TB500. I've also used it alone with great results.

I have torn the connective tissue of shoulder off the humerus, torn PCL in right knee, left ACL reconstruction and meniscus, torn ligaments in left thumb, grade 2 ankle sprain, and herniated L5-S1. Funny enough this thread was made as I literally just started BPC-157/TB500 on Monday. I’ll share my experiences after this 8 week period. I know it is anecdotal, but I’ll be honest and if I feel it’s worth it.
I got some BPC off Amazon and who knows what was in it or where it came from I realized so tossed it. It had a spelling error on the label so that tipped me off. Couldn't tell if it worked but heard it does.
I used injectable bpc-157(PDA form when it was still available through a compounding pharmacy) to heal an injury(severe ankle sprain). Objectively saying it healed the injury faster is hard as no 2 injuries are the same, but I do feel like it helped. Definitively I can say it immediately lowered inflammation, and it also helped me recover from exercise faster.
More recently I used oral BPC with SNAC from infiniwell. It had the same effects as the injectable for me, and anyone saying it will only help your digestive system is dead wrong in my experience. That said I would probably not use it again at the moment because I have reservations about SNAC. A recent study came out making it look pretty bad for your gut microbiome. SNAC is supposed to temporarily alter you gut lining to allow absorption of peptides, it is the same thing as in oral glp 1s. I can't comment on oral BPC without this ingredient.
Ideally not injecting what are only now available as grey market products is appealing to me hence the desire for an oral. That said I do believe it is one of the single most effective supplements I have taken. I have never taken any other peptides tho.
Oof. Thank god. I wouldn’t even trust the bacteriostatic water from Amazon.
Can't even trust spark plugs off amazon.
I was wondering how long this topic would take to hit Vital... Makes you wonder if BPC/TB helped Jett make that insane ACL recovery.
I've been looking deep into these peptides recently. I'm currently struggling with ongoing shoulder injuries that have been giving me trouble for the last 5 months. I'm to the point where I'm willing to try (almost) anything at at his point to get my life back. I've heard so many great reports on the Reddit forums regarding these peptides, but I see just enough negative side effects to keep me from trying. I've heard of BPC/TB (I think just BPC) causing mental decline in some users- including anhedonia, anxiety and depression. Some people quickly recover after stopping, but others have reported to take weeks or months before feeling normal again. One user was still in a 6 month depression hole after stopping- which is very concerning for me as I already struggle with anxiety and depression. Temporary effects I can deal with, but I'd never forgive myself if I jumped into something that caused permanent life-long effects on my mental health. I can't afford to make things worse and push myself over the edge.
With that being said, I've also heard of the exact opposite effect happening where it actually helped users with depression and anxiety.
I've also heard about vision issues developing, but usually subsiding after stopping use. That's another concern for me because my vision isn't the best to begin with.. Gosh, these peptides have so, so much potential and I want to help myself so bad, but I'm just too hesitant to try them..
I just wonder how many people have had amazing experiences but don't post about it, or visa versa. It does see like the negatives get posted more than positives, generally speaking. But who really knows.
Edit: I believe having a good source has a lot to do with your overall experience as well. There are many variables that nobody talks about, whether it's the peptide source, your dosing procedure, storage habits, etc. Not to mention if the user fails to mention their current medications, medical history and if they're taking any other peptides at the same time.
From what I've read, there's also the "plausible" cancer/tumor growth risk due to angiogenesis effects, but this is primarily a concern if you have a history of cancer in your family or if you're actively being treated for cancer. I was really worried about this at first, but my nerves have slowly calmed on this topic. Again, from my understanding this is only "plausible", as there's no evidence in studies that show it causes cancer, but there's also no evidence showing it doesn't. This "risk" is theoretically higher with the TB500 opposed to the BPC157 due to the increased angiogenesis and cell migration. BPC is supposedly more localized while TB is more systematic. The long term is still unknown, but I don't think there have been any studies suggesting these peptides for sure increase the risk of cancer years down the road. But again, I'm just reiterating what I've read and I'm certainly not a doctor that's qualified to give medical advice, so be sure to do your own research.
I'd love to know Dr. G's opinion if he has knowledge regarding peptides, or at least hear from someone smart and unbiased. Although, this is something we'd never hear about unless they were endorsed by a peptide company, in which case I wouldn't trust the claims. Also, I don't believe these are legal with WADA to my knowledge.. Not that it would even be in your system by the time you came back racing.
I truly wish there was enough knowledge on these peptides to determine an estimated risk percentage. I'm on the fence and want to try them so bad, but I just can't commit. Yet..
Some say it's best to purchase BPC/TB separately as they typically have different schedules. People generally take BPC daily, while TB is taken 2-3 times a week (or something like that) due to the longer half life. It supposedly stays active in your system longer than the BPC which makes for less frequent dosing.
People have also said storing BPC/TB mixed in the same vial causes it to lose its potency, therefore its best to not purchase Wolverine blend and just buy them separately. This is just what I've read, so take that with a grain of salt. I know people still use Wolverine blends with success, but I thought it was something worth mentioning.
Great feedback. I’ve had two total knee replacements this year — one on each knee. My recovery has been good overall, but not without setbacks.
I did the “Wolverine” stack (TB-500 and BPC-157) for four weeks after both surgeries. It has been recommended that I do another cycle. According to my surgeon and PT, I’ve healed faster than most patients, but I can’t definitively say it was due to the peptides.
I’m on the younger side for knee replacements (45 years old). My routine includes PT twice a week, at-home PT every day, acupuncture twice a week, ART once a week, vitamins, no alcohol, a decent diet, an ice machine, and CPM for at least one hour per day — plus the peptides and low-dose HGH.
Did the peptides help? Maybe. Was it the combination of everything? Maybe. It’s fairly inexpensive, and from what I’ve seen, there are no significant side effects. With that in mind, it’s worth a try if you’re serious about recovering and don’t mind possibly wasting $300 on something that may or may not help. For me, it was worth trying.
Believe it or not, I think I saw the most improvement with acupuncture. That’s a hard statement for me to make, but when I started acupuncture, I noticed reduced swelling and pain within just a few days. That said, it could have been the combination of everything, or something else I was doing, or that acupuncture actually works. Who knows?
Pit Row
I took BPC157 for 2-3 months after my last digger- 4 broken ribs, collapsed lung and hairline pelvis fracture. Was back on a bicycle within 2 weeks and riding mx in 4. I’m 42 so I don’t bounce as well as I used to. I’d use it again for recovery, couldn’t really feel much of a difference when I was back to normal and stopped using it
If you want a drug to help you heal just take the real stuff, HGH. HGH is proven to improve healing outcomes. These peptides with ID numbers for names have zero clinical data to support them, don't make yourself a guinea pig, just take the real shit.
Both at the same time.
Please don't take what I say as gospel. The self guided research is rewarding. Someone noted it above but "wolverine stack" is the rabbit hole you'll want to go.down.
Speaking to your shoulder injuries.... do you do dead hangs? Literally just hanging from a bar with your weight. I have a bad right shoulder as well, and I hang every workout without fail, probably a few times throughout.
No, I haven't tried, but I'm worried it would hurt my right shoulder as a dead hang would put me in a similar position to what hurt it initially. I was full extension (not flexing) with heavy tug that pulled/ tore something. MRI only showed Bursitis and tendonitis... But I wouldn't be surprised if a small tear was missed given my recovery time and lack of progress Or my long head bicep tendon is stretched.
Do you feel that dead hangs help your shoulder?
No doubt.
I ate one and it plugged me up for weeks. 😛
They help the most of anything and everything I've tried. I slowly lower myself into full extension with both arms. To start, you could attempt it on an assisted chin-up machine, this would allow you to select the load you wanted on your joints.
My Dr. has done a fair amount of research and tests with peptides. I've asked him about it a couple of times and he's basically said there might be something there, but there isn't enough evidence to support it. He said the side effects are real and potentially create a bigger problem as well. I'll link an interview he did regarding them.

I took some peptide bpc 157 off Amazon and my weiner shrank so I stopped . I can't afford any negativity in that area 😄
Interesting. What was the issue in your forearms you were getting? I've injected in my knee and in my shoulder for a grade 2 AC separation. Yes, it works
I have been taking a BPC157-TBU500 mix for 2 years now with a break every few months. It helps with a lot of issues. Injuries, Inflammation, and arthritis. However not all mixes are the same. If you have a serious injury on a shoulder, knee, hip etc, there is a more powerful fast cure. It is call "Whartons Jelly" "Google it' and it is a miracle drug. I have used it many times and recommended it many times and it work. You get a couple shots with it and they follow up with the BPC mix and healing is much faster. You will not be disappointed with either cure.
I ask my doctor about peptides and he was for them. Gave me a reputable site to order from. 35 years old, ACL surgery back in January. It was my first time using peptides and I only used the 157. Injected in my stomach Mon-Fri. I was told I would be off work for 3 months, and was able to go back in 2. Doctor said I was recovering like a 16 year old.
It’s hard to say whether the peptides made that big of a difference. I was in the gym daily and aggressive with my rehab. But I think they made a difference. Had no issues when returning to work (UPS Driver).
