You don’t get to compare deegs to Jett, and then say it’s not fair to compare him to Jett. …. because he couldn’t beat a wounded Jett. Before the race you, Deegan nut huggers, press, and deegs, thought he would do better then he did and now you all change those claims to a lower standard and say he did great. He will fight for podiums…and get some….but that is NOT the standard he, and you, set. Revise what you said he would accomplish by lighting the 450 world on fire..and challenge Jett and other top riders….and now revise that to…but he beat Malcom and RJ. Okay…

This is true...Deegan self-proclaimed that he could/might/would beat Jett. Didn't happen. And we can see Jett is not near his former self...yet anyway. Jett was/is a freak of nature.
Deegan is a goofball who thinks acting the way he does makes him cool. Deegan will be good, but he is no Jett.
Of course, we don't know if Jett will get back to his old level. But if I were betting...I would put money on Jett to win the title.

I think it was smart of Deegan to have the attitude of coming into his first 450 MX race to learn. Jett came into his first 450 MX race to teach. That semester in 2023 was crazy...
Deegan did fine. Everyone knows it takes some time to get up to speed. And yeah, it was a wake up call.

5-4 is a good start. I seem to remember RC crashing his brains out often when entering the big boys class. His career turned out okay.
The other point everyone has failed to mention is that DNGR boy has to race these dudes all year. He has made 0 friends, at some point someone is gonna be sick of his mocking bird mouth and show him he has a hummingbird ass. Unless he changes his approach this will be the norm for the rest of his career. Humility goes a long way, and being an egotistical dick usually winds up getting you a dirt sample at some point. Hard to win championships when the whole field dislikes you. Time will tell. Dude is super talented on a bike, his people skills not so much.

Is it really though? People are sick of getting blasted with fake personalities, ads, AI, and all other sorts of bullshit 24/7, the marginal returns are diminishing on this type of marketing real fast. Part of the reason this SX season was one of the most memorable ever was you had two honest, real, and respectful champions going at it to the end without having to manufacture fake hype or resort to dirty riding. People are craving authenticity and the culture seems to be shifting away from this type of stuff as far as I can tell.
