Found some pics, that I think  came from a video  - one of the Duke videos, perhaps  -  legs / boots and horizontal bar cut out, but he definitely 'was hanging like a Bat' to ease some issues:

Also found a pic of him washing what I think is an '89 CR500 - perhaps for someone else -  the Swedish Colours on the seat/ tank  rad shrouds indicates it's His  or a fellow Swede he may have been helping  :

Almost 100% second pic isn’t Carla as that’s one of our forum members bikes getting washed @Robgvx  that’s yours before you went yellow frame.

Yep, my bike. 1989. My mechanic Dave Harpur doing the washing.

I know this race isn’t close to the same level of competition as a pro national but I think all the guys who lined up this weekend have a bit of an edge over everyone else who didn’t race. I hope more guys show up next year.

Last year didn’t make as much sense with it being on the only weekend off between SX and MX. But with the longer break this year it really makes sense to give everything a test run.

I didn’t claim these guys were going to win. I said that it gave them an edge. I really wish this place had some type of reading comprehension test before you were allowed to post here.

The 2010 USGP was the last race I flagged. The FIM guys pissed me off, but that’s a story for a different thread 😜

Damn straight. My comment to my other half was "How come I didn't get that kind of Trophy at vet Worlds?" hahaha. But serious, very cool awards.

I didnt read the whole thread but I wanted to say the Ducatis are looking incredible. Both bikes look so stable and racey.

Dennis Stapleton aka Stapo did most of the track design & work & prep.

I was at WW Ranch in 2017 and had a blast….

There is always a few AMA entries which spices the race up for sure.

Wish they did it more often.

Well, I got that one wrong! 😬

I had never read that Carla had raced a CR500, in, perhaps domestic races, but the Yellow and Blue markings made me think it may well be him - the pic I found is very blurry, so I could only guess it was Carla with the size of the bloke, and the hair. And, when you go back to HC's welding his bike back together, he'd not be one to be 'above' washing / working on his own bike........

Rob : what did the Yellow and Blue ( that I took as Swedish Flag representation ) sections signify? Sponsor?, your / your kids favourite colours at that time?

Nothing. Just some eighties/nineties graphic design. I think that MXA (the graphics company, not the magazine) came up with that.
