Username Flow Chart

I had one other username from around when the forum started (I think it migrated from MotoDrive). I worked pretty hard to make sure no one would know that my current username was me, though….

I’d be interested to see if Pro has a “real” account.

Im on my 3rd ,guyb always liked to click people and throw away the key if you didnt jive with his liberal ideology. The second one i forgot the password i believe. 

When I joined Motodrive 20+ years ago I was racing motocross, scrambles and racing sprint cars.   I used '92' on all my bikes/cars.

Now that Im old and not racing anything,  Im just another fucking observer.

Same name since Mikkee p , motodrive and vital.

I did get clicked on a fishing forum for telling people where I caught fish ( with pictures ) but it was never where I caught the fish lol

Stats say I joined in 2009 but that was when I snuck back in. I think. Was Ivan before that and was clicked by Nerd. Void would be able to verify the timeline because I was hanging out at Big Lenny's while in exile for about 9 months. Guyb required oath of fealty to rejoin which I was never going to do.

I was on Ronron until Stephen shut it down, then joined Vital. Same user name my whole career. 

I was over at MotoDrive under a different user name carry’d that name over here. Then was clicked over a decade ago and lost interest in this place and just lurked here every now and then for years , but long inbetweens on that too. Signed up again in 24 I believe. I have zero clue of whatever happened to GuyB and wasn’t here for the engine ice melt down. I do remember yamahboy starting his own exclusive little club and some that were here were let in. Have no idea what happened to that either.

I was theesloth before guyb banned me for making fun of MacElrath.

Always been sumdood here. I’m a newbie compared to you guys. I was never on motodrive, I jumped over here from Pro Ride when it tapered off to 10 or 12 guys posting lol. I was (still am) Poolio over there, and on the otmx board. That was a name an old timer gave me that stuck. People still call me Poolio. I googled it for some reason and it said 

Poolio - Oversized cat testicle… 🙄

I figured I’d join as something else here, I didn’t know anyone here and figured I was just some dude on a message board..

I was FishnMoto at FreshDirt but got sick of people asking if I was Asian. Been FLmxer since.

I too was on the original yellow board called motodrive. I thought it was pretty cool because you could see who was online while browsing.

Then, guy b started vital and the herd transferred over. I'm proud to say I've never been clicked. So i've kept the same username.

After a career of designing complicated equipment, I quit that career due to the traveling demands of customer base in to many countries. My wife and I started a new business around her art and my knowledge of manufacturing. During that time I had to do all the maintenance on my sons bike, he was racing and we had significant maintenance. Anytime there was challenging task, not being a motorcycle mechanic, my thought process was different. Having access to my wife's shop, I was able to make any tool I needed to make things easy. One day, with a problem I could not figure out, I took the engine to my friend's friend who was a team Honda race mechanic. I brought with the box of tools I made from previous times I split the cases. In the process of tearing the engine apart, he found he used many of the tools I created. He asked why I'm not selling any of them. After lurking many years here I created a screen name Tool Maker to see if other people actually though those creations were worthwhile. While I had no intention of making a business out of selling tools, we did start selling the one tool I originally posted. Another tool which is very different than what anyone has done before is my clutch basket removal tool. Too busy with other things to ever put out another tool and market that. I'll post a pic of that one day.

And for those who wondered what was wrong with the engine (YZ250F) that I couldn't figure out. One of the main bearing races had a crack that you couldn't see, and when you got above a certain RPM, it allowed the crank to run on an eccentric that allowed the piston to touch the valve. 🤯

Tool Maker

I have a funny story about someone washing my boots at loretta lynn's in 2004, we were camped up on the hill and there was a guy spray washing a dirt bike with some friends watching.

I went up there and asked him if he'd spray my boots and he promptly did. 

I walked away and then realized it was the GOAT! 😂

I was BH84 until i called someone and idiot and got a one week break that's been going on for over a year...

Some pics of my Clutch Basket tool I made and started using 20 years ago. This is quite fast as I use a little M12 Milwaukee with socket. One of the many things I did unique because I didn't know how a "real" mechanic does it. Pretty much everything was just to make life easier.

Hence the name Tool Maker

I got over to Motodrive just after the RC16 debacle…….Single to table top crash, tanned wrestler, baby arm , track sueing came to light after a little fund raiser party…… were a few of the stories linked to that mess. 

I qualified as a motorcycle mechanic in 1992 and have never seen such a neat clutch basket tool before.

Question, is your tool bike specific or can it be used across the range of mx bikes that are available?

It can be made to fit more than one basket but it's not something I want to market. I approached Hinson many years ago about a license deal but I think it would have taken away sales from their more expensive tool and never came to fruition. By nature I'm just a problem solver so when I have a problem..........
