What's weird with Webb and his outdoor skills is that he has a couple of amazing standout races. Like Charlotte USGP and MXoN in Maggiora.

But other than those there aren't any great moments and he has never been close to being a contender for an outdoor title in the 450 class. Sure he has a 250 title but we don't regard 250 titles when we're talking about the very elite 450 riders.

what? There's this guy moving up to 450 with many 250 titles and his fans will tell you he is already a front runner with Jett 🤪

It wouldn't proably be a bad deal but ktm red bull proably wouldn't let it happen if they try to get factory bikes/parts again.

But if tedders decided to write the check and they could,  they have a plenty capable bike and a lot of knowledge from A the group they have but also from the time they were getting full factory bikes.

No one can say it cant be done.

He could get the best trainer in the world and get totally ripped and he still would seldom - if ever - crack the top five outdoors

He can ride a 250 outdoors. Fixed it for you. He's not going to magically turn into an elite 450 mx rider at 30yrs old. As if a trainer could help him get in the same zip code as Jett. Or Hunter, Deegan, Prado, Sexton for that matter. Cmon, I feel like we hear this every year. If Cooper just got dedicated to motocross! Stop it

Yep, Webb fans are the most deluded of all.

At any rate if you think this anomaly means that Cooked Webb is anywhere near The Bullet outdoors, the crack you're smoking is strong indeed...

Deegan is a far superior outdoor rider to Webb.

I think Cooper could have done better outdoors on the 450 if he wanted to.  He never seemed to care all that much about outdoors.

Webb benefited huge from a few things.

He won in seasons where tracks were incredibly easy and basic.

He had Roger to get any mildly challenging set of whoops cut down.

And Tomac being a head case

Does this mean he can have the KTM KYB combo now?

Never been much of a Webb fan, but even i was surprised by his attitude after the race, and he confirmed it on pulp with saying he deliberately didn't congratulate Kenny at the end of the race.

I thought, wrongly, that the Webb- Roczen rivalry was in the past. It seems it's not, at least on Webb's side. He was salty!

Webb never has seemed comfortable with the bigger bike size. Like he’s a bit too small to throw it around.

Amazing he has 3 sx titles. Dudes a mental titan.

Any one with half a brain can see little deegs is going to be in the mix. He’s a psycho and will find a way to overcome any technical advantage jett or anyone else has over him.

Both Deegan and Webb are 5’7”. I don’t think Deegan’s size will hold him back either. Just not Webb’s strength relative to supercross.

He's taller than Ricky and around the same height as James I think. There are advantages and disadvantages to being tall and short in motocross and as long as you're not too far on either side of the spectrum I think it levels out fairly evenly, if anything probably an advantage to being a bit shorter just thinking of the heights of pro riders.

Slagging on a 3 time champ, sitting third in points behind two absolute warriors fighting for the title.

🤔

Hes just boring to watch. He’s slower and “luckier” than Dungey ever was and people think Dungey 5th placed his way to titles when that guy is all time on the wins list.

Webbs likeable for his tenacity I guess but damn his riding style, lack of speed, and his lack of respect for others at times (at times that’s likeable but generally not) makes it easy to root against him and discount his titles.

The checks clear either way for him but I think that’s where a lot of the “hate” comes from.

He has stepped up to race for the des Nations team plenty of times. I believe he even raced out of his class twice. For a guy who doesn't race outdoors he has supported his country more than many.

Exactly!!! And he's won a 250 SX and 250 MX title along with three 450 SX titles. I would argue it's really hard to focus on a 450 outdoor title with the grind of winning as much as he has in Supercross. Plus, untimely injuries. The dude has had a phenomenal career

Madre of deity, another asterisk person.

“He only went 22-0 because he didn’t have any competition.”

Where do people come up with this cognitively deficient feces?

Brother, Webb is 3 wins away from Dunge on the wins list.

Dunge really only dominated when RV was out

Yeah most sx champion never win an outdoor title because sx takes so much out of them. LoL I'm being a dick but yes, Webb has had an amazing career. He'll just never be in the conversation with the greats with one 450 mx overall and no titles.

250 success doesn't always translate to a 450. But I'm pretty confident that Deegz wont have any trouble outdoors

And that's okay.

I think it's cool that he's purchased a track, hopefully for the long term.

Creating a few jobs.

A place to ride and train.

Local races perhaps  ??

He's damn sure accomplished more than the majority of pro racers.

Brother, look at total overall wins with Mx and sx combined. Look who’s 2nd in Mx.

It makes a difference in the convo. Webb is slow.

I think Coop is completely satisfied with everything he's accomplished in his career, no doubt. Personally, I wish he got an MXdN win though

Deegàn and Webb are listed as 5'7" but they are not. I've been next to them and I am 5'11" and there was more than 4 inches difference. They are more like 5'5". Shorter guys almost always say they are a little taller.
