As a new webb fan... he ain't out, but he ain't in it either... now he's gotta put both Kenny and hunter down early in a main to have a remote hope... is he willing to do what really needs to be done to get that 4th title????

Yea, but Hunter was Homeless.

Lol.

I -REFUSE- to vote!

Schrödinger's cat and all that kind of stuff. 🤣

Waaaaaay stoked for Kenny; but, I ain’t puttin’ a single negative vibe towards Hunter. He’s worked too damn hard and has been on a long and winding road to get here.

May they both have a coupl’a awesome races and I hope they’re hi-fiving at the end of the night in SLC.

No, Hunter’s dad was homeless. Poor parenting.

Parenting, by definition is defined by the results.
If your kid turns out a narcissistic, cheating, bully that thinks “they can suck it” is appropriate for public speaking and representing your sponsors: look to the parents.

If your kid turns out to be a humble, grateful, polite and financially successful representative of his sponsors and the human race generally: Job done!

“Risky Parenting”, at worst, (full commitment from a family of limited financial means) might apply to periods of homelessness and hunger.
I get the feeling, that had the MX journey failed: Darren Lawrence would have been doing whatever it took, likely driving machinery/trucks, to feed and house his family.

Back to the topic: I’m only sad they both can’t win. I’m an Aussie, but I think Kenny’s looking slightly stronger right now.
That’s why we race.

I think Ken is going to clinch it.

I truly believe that he genuinely could have threatened McGrath's record if not for those arm injuries and subsequent long term health issues in the prime of his career.

And here we are the guy is in his 30's toughed it out and ripping in a season that is not short of good riders...I feel like he just truly deserves it.

Not saying that Hunter deserves it any less.  He has had a very tough run of major setbacks (admitted he was nearly done) and look at where he is now.

It's 2 amazing stories and it's a shame we can't have both.

Being an Aussie I'm rooting slightly more for Hunter, but if  Kenny holds up the number 1 I'll be equally as happy...I think this is the season where we all win in the end.

No matter who wins, I'll feel bad for the other.  Both dudes are bosses.

Well, with Deegan coming in full time next year for the '27 SX...the years to come will be real slim pickins for Ken or Hunta in SX. Both know it may be hard to ever get another chance at a win, let alone a championship. Sooooo, the pressure is definitely on these 2 right now. Coop has 3, so he's solid for his career.

Hunta is 25 and peaking. Deegan needs to worry about Hunter not vice versa. For a couple more years at least. Gonna be slim pickins in sx for anyone not named Lawrence

Hunter has the starts... but recently so does Kenny.

Hunter is great on hard pack... but so is Kenny.

Kenny has the speed... but so does Hunter.

Hunter has shown cracks in recent weeks... but so did Kenny in weeks prior.

Kenny apparently fades in mains... well recently so has Hunter.

Hunter typically finishes strong... well recently so has Kenny.

Last 2 rounds are going to be hard pack. This season, Hunter has excelled in these conditions more than Ken.

Nashville, San Diego, Houston come to mind.

For that reason, I think Hunter takes it.

I also think Hunter is more willing to be aggressive. We’ve seen Ken shy away from contact over the years and recently in Nashville.

We’ve also seen Hunter not be afraid to take others out, as seen at 2022 Pala with Jo and last weekend.

Ken also hasn’t really raced Denver or Salt Lake the past few years due to injury and has struggled at altitude (Missed both in 22 24 and 25 and missed SLC in 23, and struggled at SLC in 21 and 20 with both years having 2+ races at SLC).

At the same time, Hunter has done well in Denver, he was 2nd in 24, 1st in 22.

One of these guys can knife through the pack with shock and awe. The other not so much.

I'm gonna be super stoked for one and super bummed for the other, this is gonna be one of the most bittersweet championships I've ever seen.

That being said, it's gotta go to Kenny, man. He can't end his career without a 450SX title.

I want Roczen to take it this year. But...be realistic...Roczen is in no way going to beat Deegan for a championship in either SX or MX unless Deegan gets injured. In MX, Roczen wouldn't be able to keep Deegan within eyesight.

For us earthlings impossible to win a world title.

elite riders also almost impossible to win a title,

the entire field how many riders 20? 25 30? only a hand full can claim this. therefore Kenny maybe his only chance is now

Got that right. I’ve won one “club championship”, and a few “podium club championship years”in my career.

The guy that gets lapped and finishes last in the main would have waxed me in my prime.
It’s a different level.

If it were true: I’d wear the T shirt that said “I made the main” every day for the rest of my life. 😊

They're my 2 favourite riders in the entire field, and I struggle to pick one to cheer for more than the other.

When I think about it, I think I'd prefer Roczen to win, especially with how big of a comeback story it would be, which could be bigger than the sport itself.

Although in the moment while watching the races I find myself cheering more for Hunter, he's been overshadowed by his little brother since moving to the US and often doesn't get the respect he deserves in my opinion.

They're both great personalities however and it will be awesome to see either one win. Just think, it would be crazy to hear on press day of A1 that the title would come down to Hunter and Kenny but here we are.

Although one thing I will say that is very unpopular to mention here is that it is really going to bug me if Roczen wins the championship within a margin of points that he would not have had he been penalised for jumping on a red cross. It's not his fault the AMA bungled that, and he has had some very bad luck throughout his career, but that was just ridiculous. One of the worst calls of all time, and the complete opposite of the AMA's MO in terms of devoutly following the rule book.

Anyway. If I had to predict the winner of the title right now, I'd give a slight edge to Hunter due to the Honda appearing to be better on the hard pack, with the last 2 tracks being probably the 2 hardest on the entire schedule. Although Ken is also no slouch on hard pack.

No matter the outcome, this has been one of the most exciting premier class sx championships of all time.

Right up there with Doug Henry the 1998 Motocross Champion, after breaking his back in 1995 and both arms in 1997 -- at the same track.

I'm sure that Cooper Webb is going to completely fall apart in Colorado because some dude on Vital called him Paul.

That’s not what I said and not the point.

You’re not wrong on the red flag, but if Kenny wins I’m going to give it a pass due to Hunter taking him out in the sand. Call it even.
