Lol what? Do you think riders actually live at the stadiums or something? Denver is his home race, just like Seattle is for the hill brothers(who live the next state over) and Kitchen etc. That’s just kinda how it works….

See, he got the results of the MRI and gave a update right away.

Based on his post I’d guess he sits out this weekend and comes back for Denver and SLC.

Tomac has looked bad in the whoops since day 1 on the KTM. He has had many close calls and lost time in the whoops all year, which used to be his strength. It will be hard for him to trust the bike in the whoops again IMO.

Perhaps it is fitting if Daytona ends up being his last SX win.

Lol. You know it is an alloy frame, right? It is not steel. It is chromoly.

You know steel is an alloy too. Steel =/= iron. They use the same base element Fe. But steel obviously has other added elements like, carbon, nickel, chrome, silicium, etc.

I do. Thanks. Guess I should have been more clear that the frame is already a STEEL alloy. pretty common place to talk about alloy materials being a Steel Alloy with some form of steel being the base material... but you are correct.

Dare we say Banged Up?

Chances that Sexton and Webb both also are banged up for a few rounds this summer?

don't harsh my mellow man! Actually, I was born and raised in SoCal (don't call it Cali- none of us ever did!)

so, for the literal dozens of guys living in CA currently racing- which is their home SX track- Anaheim or San Diego?

So let's add outdoors too- is the home track for all CA racers Pala or Hangtown? What about guys that race both series? So confusing!

Then there's Vet world champs and 2-stroke world champs at Glen Helen- who's home track is that? 🤷🤷‍♂️🤷‍♀️

The only bruised and beat up muscle Tomac needs to rest is his poor brain. This has to be the strangest choke in the history of the sport. And I’m a Tomac Super Fan. This was mental.

Tomac must have left at least 3 Supy titles on the table in his career, right? Serious question.

Tomac and sexton should get a beer together soon. It's lonely being banged up.

I’m not a Tomac fan nor a hater, but Daytona won’t be his last sx win ever.

Yep, at some point, it is the last win. If anyone thinks ET has looked good in the whoops on the KTM, they are fooling themselves or blind. His very first race in Canada, he almost crashed in the whoops.

Having said that, I wish he would win out...but it won't happen. For some reason, they can't get the whoops right on that bike for Eli. Even Mookie is not as good in the whoops on the Husky as he used to be. Look at the difference between Kenny and ET/MS in the whoops.

Saying Tomac's slump is/was mental is not necessarily a dig on him. Many people sometimes get mentally overloaded in life. It happens. Add in being physically sick and tired...yea, it was probably mental. Any of you been married with three kids? Sometimes that can bring a lot of stress.

Does not mean he is a 'head case' at all. It means life events were a bit too much, and it impacted his ability to win a race when he needed to. This is the most likely explanation, but who knows? Eli won't ever explain it, and nor should he.

So did I OC, Saddleback etc. Cali kids if they were from San Diego called SD /Carlsbad a "home race". We had a dozen tracks in SoCal. Announcer say Deegan winning Anaheim is in front of his "home crowd"

I was born Kaiser Hospital in Fontana 1958 as Dad was teaching at UC Riverside. We settled in SD when I was 4. I raced CMC a couple years: Carlsbad, Saddleback, 605? in Irwindale once and a lot at Southbay speedway in Chula Vista on weeknights. Went to nearly every USGP in Carlsbad until they stopped. Ended up racing VMX there in early 2000s until it closed. If anything I guess that would be my "home" track where our club was based. We still never called CA "cali" and would probably punch anyone who did 🥴
