Agreed
The tight and steep track seemed to slow the guys down enough to make for good racing. It seemed hard to pass, but also provided good aggressive passing opportunities.
The ruts were insane for a closed roof event. Was the dirt brought into the dome wet?
The tracks have been rutted AF since lime-gate 2019

Seeing how the track looked in 2009 vs today blew my mind.. so much more dirt and interesting layout. Nowdays it’s just copy paste jumps in a different order
There was quite a bit of rain here the week before when the dirt would still have been outside. I've attended at least 15 STL races, and the dirt looked damper and softer than in most years.
Having Different variations in Timing sections were impressive .
Yeah they house the dirt across the highway from Gateway Drag Strip. They were bringing it in Tuesday and it had moisture underneath, but this is mainly how it used to be. Been drying out a bit last few years for lime
Track looked gnarly but the racing didn’t appear that great….maybe simpler tracks make for better racing?
Was wondering why there was so much freshly scraped dirt on my way home this morning
I guess people like different things? We’ve had some awesome side by side racing this year, but this track didn’t deliver that. It was okay when freshly groomed, but that didn’t last long.
Idk man I don’t enjoy watching the best SX riders in the world looking like squids and doubling through entire rhythm sections on a dry track. It was awesome to see the winners make it look relatively easy but the racing aspect left a lot to be desired for me
Bring back lime in covered stadiums and leave rut o cross for the open stadiums if that’s what the weather provides.
Holy cow, time flies….
Yup. It’s the same track in a different order every weekend. The finish line has been the exact same for the last 5 years. Have it on a straight or do something interesting. No ones impressed by a 65 foot double that kids on 65s can do.
