He is coming back from injury so it’s ok to boo him when he comes back because he hasn’t informed you every step of the way…man I don’t know that sounds extremely entitled…he owes you nothing! Where’s the outrage with Barcia?? I guess he gets a pass because his crash was televised for everyone to see… Chase just got back on the bike Tuesday and as he has shown in the past he doesn’t come back until he’s 100%….And I expect this place to melt down if he decides he’s not ready for this weekend….Do I wish he would be more open, of course, but this is nothing new with Chase…but to boo someone returning from injury just because he hasn’t kept your entitled ass inform is bullshit….

A little transparency would be nice. After all, without us there is no supercross and no factory contract worth $$$$. Same for all public athletes whos income is dependent on us buying tickets, product, ect. Real sports, NFL for example, will fine you for not coming clean on your injury's.
I’m personally cutting him some slack on his slow roll back to racing. Last fall, the guy was literally snoring on the side of the track after his SMX crash. Rumor has it, this last crash was a big one. If he knocked his head yet again, it makes sense that he’s taking the time he needs to come back. As someone who has had more concussions than I can count, I wish I knew then what I know now.
That’s called entitlement…purchasing a ticket from Feld/MXSports does not entitle you to any information regarding an individuals personal life or injury updates….NFL injury reports are required by the league for the teams to report not up to individual athletes they fine the teams not the athlete…and in most cases those reports are not real specific, ie Sore shoulder they are week to week…and the teams are required to report who is out two days before a game…And yes I agree a little transparency would be nice and now that we have gambling I think that Feld/MXSports should adopt the same requirements of the teams regarding injury reports….but as of now not just Chase but many riders go the “none ya” route regarding injuries.
I remember, in an interview with Lewis that Chase said "Some of my friends say I'm a psycho". Maybe that just means they know he's a bit of a head case.
But, racing is better when he's on the line no matter what. I hope he has himself and the #4 Kawasaki figured out when he rreturns.

The first step to recovery is acknowledgement. Maybe Chase is aware of his psychosis but isn't quite ready to acknowledge.

With regard to the rest of your post - live by the sword, die by the sword. If you choose to make a lucrative living in a career that depends on public popularity then you are opening yourself up to public scrutiny.
What you don’t seem to understand is that the criticism of Chase’s absences over the last few years, and the lack of clarity surrounding them, has nothing to do with entitlement and everything to do with optics. If I engage in bizarre behaviour in my workplace then the people in that environment will discuss and comment on it. Furthermore if I provide little to no explanation then people will speculate and start filling in the blanks.
The only difference between my scenario and Chase’s is that my audience is maybe a dozen people whereas Chases’s is a few million.
You asked where’s the outrage for Barcia? We’ll go and look closely at the two situations and see if there are any differences. Jett has missed more time in the last two years than any top rider, why is no one outraged with him? That isn’t a rhetorical question - there are clear differences.
