So Ive heard a few people say this now and most recently steve matthes. “Poor friese always in the wrong place at the wrong time and gets blamed for everything”. Yes every once in a while its not his fault but 99.9999999% of the time it is.

Theres this weird narrative starting to bubble up from the deep dark depths of the industry that friese has been unfairly targeted by the fans and hes really a good guy and has just has a lot of bad luck over his career and is a completely innocent little angel and its not his fault just because one time it wasnt 100% on him. I’m sorry but come on….

Especially after this one. This was his 1,000th take out of his career and after this should have been banned for life after sending craig flying down a hallway at highway speed. Pretty sure he didnt even get a penalty here either lol… Friese no longer gets the benefit of the doubt, too bad.

Honestly this is my problem because I’ve had a busy week but who has said this, Matthes has said this? I can’t believe people would be willing to defend him racing with Eli when he was a lap down, on top of everything he’s done previously. Shouts to Big Lew and Mike for calling out how horrendous some of the lapper decisions were at Indy

Seems like just another one of those odd or I'm gonna be different point of views. Just to get clicks, it's more excess noise.

Too many times for it to just be bad luck lots of it. Looks more self inflicted bad decision making.

wouldn't bother me 1 bit if he has an "accident" like this with Deegan when he joins 450 class. Karma baby 🤣

I’ve never watched a race that was better because freezee was in it, but I’ve seen him ruin a bunch with his douchbaggery..

In the most recent incident, both riders drift to the middle of the track but Tomac does it more egregiously (starts far left against the block and lands pretty much dead center in the lane). Not hating on either guy but I don't think in this case that Friese was really much at fault, if at all.

You are objectively wrong, wow. Friese went from for right to far left. Tomac drifted one or two ruts over and most of that was him trying to course correct in the air.

Did Friese mean to cross jump? Probably not. Was he in the wrong place to start that rhythm lane, while being lapped, by his own stupid choice? Yes.

If that was what you took from that conversation, sorry but you need to work on your comprehension. He wasn’t defending Friese’s riding regarding blue flags or dirty riding. He was defending Friese from the comments saying implement a 107% rule and that’ll get rid of Friese. Yes Friese rides like a jackass sometimes (maybe most of the time), but he is often getting great starts and has made every single main. In the grand scheme of things he is a really good rider, and people shit on him like he can’t ride. That is where Matthes was defending Friese.

The thing I like about Friese is his aggression, stubbornness, determination, what ever you want to call it or say about it, he's got it more than most riders.

Imagine if Cole Seely had that desire, Tom Vialle, Marvin Musquin or any of the other riders you can think of who get good starts, then don't fight for position. Vince fights for position (even when he's getting lapped) like it's his last race ever. That's pretty cool to see.

And oh yeah, he definitely causes drama and madness, I'm not arguing that. But he's a dog who's got more fight in him than most.

I understand disagreeing, but "objectively wrong"? Watch the video of where Tomac takes off and where he lands. Friese drifts too, but not much, and right to left on a jump between to 90 degree right turns is SOP for supercross.

As for the down voters...

Yea…so unfair to such a good person….poor vincey.  I guess someone MADE him try to pay off another rider to take out his own teammate (JB I think)…ONE OF THE SLEAZIEST moments in our sport.  He should have lost his pro license .  He is a douche on the track.PERIOD.  Watch him ride in his career.  Not bad timing.  Just a douchbag on the track.  gmafb

I bet he was at the wrong place aswell when he offered someone money to take out Brayton. Then just went for it by himself anyways. Or when he completey punted Craig off the track. Poor fella, has to deal with so much undeserved hate and adversity. Really hope those mean riders stop getting in his way now. Fucking hell..

The rule says when being lapped to hold your line. He did not do that in front of Eli, instead he cross jumped the track right in front of Eli. That's why he was in the wrong and a hazard. What does Mathes know anyway?

The ruts grabbed his tires and pulled him toward Eli just like Eli was pulled toward Vince the same way.  On a track with ruts that deep and sticky, it would be tough to cross jump someone on purpose even if you wanted to.  Forget Matthes.  Listen to any other review of the incident by someone who actually raced Supercross and this is what they are saying.  No one is claiming that Vince did this on purpose.  When Eli was complaining about lappers after the race, it was Moranz he was talking about, not Friese.

Bring back the joker lane (not for it being used 1 lap for each competitor)  but if you’re going to be lapped within 10 seconds you must take the joker lane & every lap until the event if over. Even two lanes either side of the track.

Tom Vialle doesn’t belong in a conversation about lack of desire, that man has willed himself to so much success while others have crumbled

You and others are missing the point that he was a lap down, and shouldn’t have even yanked the triple in the first place

His endless bonehead moves have all but washed away any "good" he's added to the sport.

He’s not doing himself any favors today. He was in the way multiple times in qualifying today and then completely swerved from the left to right in front of Kenny before the finish. Dudes a hazard, and worst of all doesn’t care or have respect for anyone.

What a veteran move there by Friese, letting J Coop bye knowing he’s in a transfer spot,  and saving his best takeouts for the main. Just smart, smart stuff right there. 🤣

This whole post's premise is 100% flawed.

NO ONE says he is "just in the wrong place at the wrong time", least of all Mathes.

Your either deluded, OR VINCE!!!!
