Will he be back in the near future or is his career likely over?

great question, was wondering when someone would ask. Oh, what about Sexton, when will he return?

Pipes Motorsports made it sound kind of vague in the way they described him 'stepping away for an indefinite period of time'.

It is possible that they are looking to break his contract, or they may be willing to wait until he gets his life back together.

If you go to the Sexton thread you will find out Nike makes running shoes without a test runner, Tickle isnt as fast as Sexton so people question his employment, trey Carnatd is a good test rider, RV is PR and wally says Sexton is out for season. If thats confusing and not answering if Sexton is lining up this weekend, that thread is got it all.🤣

This post would make an interesting poll.

Edit,  poll it and let’s see where it goes.

Depends completely on how the legal stuff is finalized.

Needs to be completely thrown out for real teams to want him.

Unless Jason’s parents have a family business to take over like Blake Baggett, I suspect he will be back after his personal matters are resolved.  Too much potential left even though it’s late in his career.

I don’t believe in cancelling people, but there should be social consequences for abusing your wife.  If I owned a company sponsoring the dude I wouldn’t want my name associated with him.  It’s pretty important to stand against domestic assault.

It’s finalized, the charges were dropped.  He faces no further legal issues from this situation.

But the damage done is still significant.  I still think he’s likely done racing.  Just my opinion.

wishing this stuff would go away, but for the 1 millionth time, doesn't matter if the charges were dropped guys. How do you not understand that??? He all but admitted guilt, hello! He's not racing currently to try and fix the problems. That indicates he did grab or whatever he did against her will in an aggressive manner. Cant do that. The charges being dropped are irrelevant to the actions by JA. So, its not "finalized" or he would be racing. Jezzus, some of you are so clueless...

It’s finalized, the charges were dropped, there is NO FURTHER LEGAL ACTION.

100% fact.

Some of you are absolute idiots.

He literally said "legal stuff"... Not the entire matter and all of its repercussions... for the millionth time... lol.

Lol, the past is coming to haunt. Just like JA.

The guy fucked up big time. I would guess he loses a factory ride. I also wouldn't be surprised if he rides a second tier team bike and in a couple years, if still competitive, maybe get a shot again. There are athletes that literally went to prison during their career for worse (e.g. Mike Tyson), who still came back and somehow managed to be respected again. Although, on second thought I can't think of anything recent, and I guess the 90's where a different time...

Yo @ML512 can we delete these? The PR week is over. No need to keep creating and maintaining spaces to air dirty laundry. Little discretion would be nice.

I get what you're saying, but there's teams right now that willingly support the antics of Vince Friese & Cole Thompson who put lives at risk every time they're on the track. -It's not apples to apples, but it's pretty comparable IMO when we're talking about reputations of sponsors and teams backing "villians" for lack of a better term.

100%.  That was the entirety of that comment.  Followed by a separate comment that I think he's done because of it.

If I were a betting man…I’d bet Jason Anderson will not return to pro SX/MX racing.

This is not even remotely close to the same thing. Put the pipe down.
