Did tomac really just say that 3 hours ago . I'm sorry I can't figure out how to show you guys but , die hards will know if it's true or not. Anyway it's exactly what iv thought for 20 years. 450 class should be unlimited no restrictions. 250 class should be stock bike only tires and exhaust mod. Not sure if it will solve the problem of the day, but I gueentee will will know exactly who's the best racers are.

Here is the issue from a strictly business standpoint. To be competitive on a 250 in SX or outdoors you need to spend serious money on upgrading the bike. motor work, suspension, everything to make very little money as a privateer. But you can race a basically stock 450 with some suspension work and even if you make the main and finish 22nd. example 22nd in an SMX race paid 2400 last season you needed to finish 10th in 250 to make that. I remember a few season ago finishing 5th in the 450LCQ paid as much as 7th/8th in the 250 class. And knew a rider that finished top 20 in outdoors on a stock KX450 with a pipe and some suspension tweaks. He raced 250 in Sx and said to be competitive you need 70-100k into the bike

unlimited everything for the top guys. limited for the support class. limitations may include rev limit, OTS internals like cams, limitations on machine work to cyl head and must run stock crank. ots suspension. factory transmission components must be made available for lease or purchase to licensed/numbered pros at reasonable cost.
Too much to enforce with teardowns.
If you want to keep it simple and build parity, claiming rule.

Tomac isnt illiterate. Maybe say something in your original post to clue people into what you are talking about. Honestly i just thought you drunk posted and didnt actually think you were that illiterate until you came back and didnt see the issue with what people were saying. Tomac didnt come off like a 3 yr old with a different first language, so why would people pile on him? You said "cant believe tomac said that 3 hrs ago" what is "that". Maybe next time say, "I heard tomac say "xyz" on "blah blah blah" 3 hrs ago and I cant believe he said that". If it wasnt for one guy here cracking the devinci code, we still wouldnt know what was going on. Take it constructively, or get mad at me, it doesn't matter to me, but only one will benefit you in the long run.
p.s. I see falcon hasn't even tried to touch this one!

Claiming rule is a great idea, but even when it's legal and in place for a reason, apparently the claimer can just be bullied out of it by an aggressive dad and team that believe they're above that rule.
The precedence was set a few seasons ago.
