Am I the only who doesn’t see much difference in this press release and the last one on Saturday? The timeline was indefinite on that one too. This basically just add “personal” and “family” onto medical issues. This is just PMG trying to make everyone happy by appearing to address the issue but not really doing anything at all.
They haven’t fired him or released him. I don’t think it will happen but according to this release he could be back any time he is ready.
My gut tells me his last race was that dumpster fire in Dallas though.

Life works in interesting ways. He was riding the best this year he has been in some years, then has to step away.
I pray for him and his family they can get whatever issues are going on resolved. Glad he is stepping away to focus on that and I also hope he can come back some time.

But I do know someone who rang the cops because his wife was drunk and attacking him. He is not the sort of guy who would lift a finger towards a woman. When the Police arrived, remember: summoned by him, they treated him as the perp, both at the scene and initially at the station. Eventually, with him in a cell, remaining calm, with injuries including bite marks in the middle of his back, and her - unmarked and “kicking off” in the station, they finally figured it out and apologised.
They each took an AVO out on the other. His had to have “pen amendments” to change “her” to “him” in the victim section, and “him” to “her” in the perpetrator section.
When it got to court - the bias started all over again with the Judge making defamatory statments about strong men that physically abuse the weaker sex.
His neighbours would have seen a strong man arrested, and a small (drunk) women screaming she had been assaulted.
Luckily, like me, he is an ex amateur racer - so he never got judged on Vital

I was a huge fan of his and own a bunch of Team Fried merch, but regardless of the situation it is never ever acceptable for a grown man to lay hands on a woman, even more so the woman who is the mother of your child. My last ex straight up right hooked me when she was drinking one night. You know what I did? Walked away. Not choke her out for the neighbors to see.

Whats the story with Jason Anderson and when was this? I never heard anything about it. Was it why he was off last year as well? Crazy.

There were a lot of rumors about stuff going on with his relationship last year. It was all gossipy type stuff, nothing on the level of domestic abuse though. I do know for sure he does have health issues but I think a lot of people knew last year that there was other stuff going on that made him sit out.
Kinda bummed it took this being brought to light for PMG to say something, I can’t imagine they didn’t know about this back in December. Glad they still put something out anyways, but it seems Jason stepping away was more prompted by him than the team, I might have it completely twisted though. Abuse is far too common, and it sucks to see it become one of the headlines in our sport even if just for a week
apparently she was at the first couple races. thats a hard decision to make as a business owner unless shes got visible injuries or you witness abuse in the rig; you want to presume its in the past and looked worse than it was, if shes willing to come to the races and hang out (im not saying it did, for the nuance-challenged). then again, she's prob just there to keep him away from pit tootsies and track snacks so.
not sure if you guys knew this, but modern weed can make some folks a little more prone to schizophreniform psychoses, so there's also that.
