Perhaps with Hunter leading the championship Honda could help Savatgy a little more, help him get between Hunter and the other championship contenders, be the "wing man". Tomac has Prado, Roczen has Anderson, Webb has Cooper, Hunter has little to no help out there.

From what we’ve seen I don’t think Anderson is helping Kenny much

A lot of racing left. Looks like down to five contenders. Wait until after Daytona. Make adjustments.

Seeing how he’s going into Daytona with 7th place in the standings, I think it’s time to give Joey more props for his 2026 campaign to date.

I’m glad he’s getting some attention most broadcasts. RC always manages to give him some props. He knocking on the door of the top five, tough barrier to break.

Definitely worthy of a 2nd factory spot. Or more factory support from HRC.

Kenny doesn't need the help.

Back on topic though...Joey has been riding hard, and is looking great on the Honda, and I hope he can finish in the top-5 when the smoke clears.

The last time Joey helped a guy win a million bucks it didn't pay so well. 😀

I believe Savatgy saw how competitive he was in WSX, and is racing with a new confidence, and much harder in SX.

I hope he lands on the podium more than a time or two this season.

Both Joey and the Quad Lock Honda team are the real deal.

I believe he got a factory transmission from HRC a round or two back?

They did mention that on the broadcast I think last week, but I'd still like to see him on Jett's bike.

HRC doesn't usually fill those spots and they definitely don't need to with Hunter leading the championship, but Joey is such a perfect guy for a fill in.

He's already shown he's capable of top 5s and he's someone who's been shafted by teams really badly in the past, and he hasn't had a go on a factory bike besides his rookie year.

Personally, I'd like to see Honda just give him some factory parts for his Quad Lock bike. Yarive seems like a really decent dude, so I'm enjoying seeing one of his bikes do so well (technically two bikes, since Deano is running the table at the overseas races).

Why do we always assume a factory ride is better? Factory support, which he has now, is definitely an improvement. But team dynamics matter too. HRC is the Lawrence's team; they all click, but Joey may not. He looks great on his current bike and team. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Also, Savatgy isn't being anybody's bridesmaid again. Look what that got him at MEC.

Not only about the bike and equipment, also about money. Those guys don't just ride for pride and honor, let's be honest. The way he rides currently he totally deserves a good paying contract, hopefully he can land a good spot for next year.

I'm sure he's making a comfortable amount, especially with WSX. Firepower is a pretty solid satellite team. I think when his contract is up, he deserves a factory ride. But jumping ship mid-season doesn't make sense. He'd ride for what, 10 rounds before Jett comes back?

Would Joey do better than he is now with a factory bike? I don’t really think so. He has a good bike with a factory transmission, Yarrive is letting him run KYB on his Honda, he’s doing WSX, AUS SX, and SX here so probably making good money. The teams based out of the area where he’s always lived too? I think Joeys got a pretty good deal besides racing all the outdoors.

Savatgy’s program is working right now. No need to make any changes, don’t want to upset the equilibrium. But if he finishes top five or better in points (Supercross), he should get some type of reward from the factory for keeping the Red team in the game.

And he’ll be looking good for a strong SMX payday, too.

I gambled on Joey cracking the top 5 in fantasy last night with a 5th place and won! Too bad the rest of my picks were wrong per usual.

In seriousness, Joey is rockin it right now. Somewhat reminds me of when he was starting to scratch the surface while on the RW Kawi a few years ago. It’s awesome to see his self criticism shaping into self confidence now. Don’t grenade the whole program for a possible fill in opportunity. As we’ve seen countless times with others, the grass isn’t always greener on the other side.

Full respect for Savatgy! I didn’t see him running with the lead pack, but there he is week after week! Great job!

Congrats Savatgy on the come back and recent success.  We don't see this kind of turn around often and you deserve some serious props for overcoming your challenges.  Keep up the good work, you are hauling ass and adding another success story to the "Old Dad's Club".

Wsx really has helped some guys with confidence... in both 450s and 250s....

This.

Marti'n Davalos has done a hell of a job as a team owner. I beleive he also has a woman in WMX that's pretty good as well.

Savatgy had great speed in his younger 250f days with PC.  Frankly I'm happy he's finally on a good team and found ahome where he can showcase his talent again. He'd had some rough years for sure. Hope he can break the top 5 this season

Good for him.  5th is a great finish!  Look who was in front of him.

They already gave him a factory transmission. They’re not going to give him a factory engine or anything else and increase his chances of getting in Hunter’s way.

Pretty sure Marty is NOT the team owner, and Yarrive is, but I stand to be corrected.

Also, don't want to diminish what Marty has brought to the team and the results, crazy good!!

I stand corrected. Yes Martin is manager. Between Yarrive and Martin, they've found a great team culture and are helping Savatgy thrive. It's great to see

Damn. Love to see Savatgy outdoors
