If you're referring to my comment, I meant sketch as in it could be worse than they’re leading on. But as someone said later on, the vagueness does also mean it could just be “banged up”. We never got the full scope of his banged up KTM injury but he later said in interviews that it was way worse than anyone knew, so who knows.

Why would Star want him? They have Webb, Degan next year will likely just as competitive as him. If they want a third rider, there’s no way they’d pay him what he’d want. J Coop would be a way better third rider option. Only way he ends up on a Yamaha is if Degan does his own team, and even then it’s a stretch. Which shocked no one is talking about as a side note.

Like when he was "banged up" on the KTM last year and missed a bunch of races without ever saying what was wrong? I hope he is not hurt, but if feels very similar.
That was a particularly bad night for Eli and a far cry from the comfortable on the KTM version of him we've seen so far in 2026.
Deegan fan logic is that Deegan gets more credit for beating tomac on a new bike in an exhibition race than sexton gets for winning a 450 SX and outdoor title. Deegan will obviously have him covered when he moves up based on that WSX 3rd place finish. You're a hater if you don't think so. DNGR.
