Both the 250 main event warning lights and 450 main event Red Cross flag situations were officially reviewed and…
“No violation was determined”
Yeaaaa I'm gonna need someone to elaborate.
I don’t have X. But if that’s true that’s gotta be the dumbest piece of crap ever.
So Jo follows the rules, because of THEIR mistake, but loses out????
So jumping on a red cross light is less of an infraction than failing post race sound check, even if it’s caught on video from multiple angles. Absolutely absurd.
This is absurd … WTF?

Leaked video of the AMA describing the reasoning behind the ruling.
It should be a full-course caution. Everybody slows to a crawl at the same time. Must hold position. Everybody goes green at the same time.
You know? Like F1 Virtual Safety Car? Or any other closed course racing?
This is so bush-league.
what the actual F*CK!!!
Clear as fing day. Honda has had more red flag violations against them than any other team (I believe) and ate the penalties. Clearly this should benefit them, right fully so and then this??
I wonder if the betting has something to do with it, effecting payouts that already happened perhaps so not rocking that boat?
Bull shit either way as it is clear as day.
Great way to encourage everyone to not follow the rules.
There's been a number of calls that ive seen over the years that aren't cut and dry, this situation couldn't be more clear. You dont jump on a red light, Pierce jumped on a red light... What the actual F is so hard to understand, the AMA just has to follow their rules. The rules that dont say, "Do not jump on a red light.. unless you know, you think it's ok".
Lewis is the only journalist who I feel like could adequately grill the decision makers on this. He needs to get all people who were involved in making this decision in front of a camera immediately and start asking questions. This is seriously insane that no penalties are being handed out.
I like Pierce on a personal level and am happy for him, so this isn’t about my favorite rider not winning. It’s about consistency with the rules and fairness for all riders.
Disagree; just keep the red on for a long enough amount of time that the leader does not get handicapped just like we saw. Fair section to those on the lead lap.
It’s not that hard, precedent has been set. Brown keeps the win, just loses points. Shouldnt affect betting, same guy is listed as the winner as last night. They had no problem last year penalizing multiple riders for a similar situation so really dont understand this ruling. All it’s going to do is cause more confusion in the future
I wouldn’t blame Honda if they said fuck this rigged bullshit and pulled out of the series
Ummmm....wut...
Will love to hear the mental gymnastics they performed to justify this decision...🙄
Let’s not forget that there were clear cut incidents, with video evidence, in both mains: red light violations in the 250s and red cross flag violations in the 450s.
All previous violations of this nature have been penalised, why not this time?
AMA are ignoring their own rule book and setting one hell of a precedent if that is the final result.
bad things happen when the Japanese get punished for following the rules.
Pit Row
You can take the sport out of the backwoods but you can’t take the backwoods out of the sport…
So Jo Shimoda slowed but were the lights still on for Pierce?
Also, in the 450s how did Eli and or the other 3 have lights and Hunter not? That was a tight pack.
The lights were on for both Jo and Pierce, only Jo rolled. The cross flag was shown for Hunter, Eli and co, all jumped except Hunter.
I thought Honda was the big dog and ran the show, they killed the 2-strokes! 😂
Pretty similar to Jett's incident at the Triple Crown in St Louis in 2024 and he got penalized. I thought we were past this dumb shit from the AMA.
This is for sure a head scratcher. I'd be pissed if I was Jo/honda.
This just isn't fair. Plain and simple.
Love to hear the fuzzy logic that was used by the AMA to arrive at this decision.
I read somewhere that the AMA will post their reasoning tomorrow. Can’t wait for this clown show
So we have official video from the hired contractors that show riders jumping on a flashing red light THAT HAS BEEN OFFICIALLY REVIEWED but no penalty? What the actual fuck?
Didn’t this exact same thing happen at last year’s Charlottes SMX round and cost Levi maybe ( I think it was a PC Kaw rider) a big penalty? So why not follow those same rules this year?
Justice for Jo!
