Guy has a ton of these trucks for sale.
I remember being a youngster driving one of these around with that air cooled Suzuki tied down in the back, with the real anchor tie downs. And the 1979 RM 250 for $1550 out the door.

It’s annoying how expensive old trucks are now. In Newport Beach, all the rich teenagers drive fully restored 1960s/70s big trucks.
Did a quick google and $1500 OTD is like saying you got a Yz250 for $6,700 OTD. They go for 8K MSRP so that's still a sweet deal, but within the realm of possibility I think when considering inflation.
I paid $4,200 for my Toyota Pickup last Christmas. Using the same calculator, it's like paying over 9k back in '92🥲 Those things went for about that much back then, but using the calculator again that's like paying 20k in today's dollar for a brand new 2wd pickup.
Love my shitbox and nice bike combo😂
My first brand new truck, 1985 Toyota "1 Ton" (lol) 22r 5 speed manual. $7,800' OTD.
The Shop
Luxon 4-Post Bar Mounts
$189.95 - $239.95
Free shipping: VITALMX
They’re trying to outpace gold lol
Now that’s unachievable, not only for young kids looking their first car, but for me too! Thats truck is going for $15k today!
People with money ruin everything.
Old Feller just gave me this thing. Little hard on fuel but you can still buy a lot of it for 30k, lol.
I remember when these trucks were $3500. I should have held on to it and sold it for the $8000 that they seem to be going for now...
Who is the seller and what location so we can go look at the ads.?
1993 with my KX125 and my 1988 Ford Ranger
1972 My dad with his Penton and long bed C10
at 6'3" I don't know how I folded myself up and squeezed in there and drove 4 hours straight. 45 years later I am now shopping for a new truck just to get massaging seats.
This post is a tribute to my late friend, Bob Smith. Bob and I were fortunate to grow up in the western San Fernando Valley, where we witnessed the birth of motocross in the early 1970s.
It was a “perfect storm,” so to speak: a strong middle class, wide-open land to ride, cheap gas, a growing sport, affordable trucks, and great places to race—Baymare, Indian Dunes, and Muntz Cycle Park.
While still in high school, Bob worked part-time as a mechanic at a bicycle shop in Canoga Park, then went full-time after graduation. He’d often say it was the best of times—because, in his words, a “kid” could actually afford a bike and a truck and go racing. That’s hard to imagine today—if not impossible.
This AI-generated image shows Bob’s setup: a Datsun and a Mid-Valley–purchased 1971 CZ 250. He lived his dream life for a few years after high school graduation. Then life became a bit more serious and off to the Army he went...
I would pay 20g for a new little 2 door truck , or even 25, no one makes them anymore. I don't need a big car with a box in the back.
1981, still has the original windscreen.
Pit Row
I like this post.
71 Toyota Hilux.
77 Datsun.
Living the dream in 89…..loved my little Nissan/Datsun….
1987 ford ranger, picked up for $800, slow as molasses.
As much as I love big ass trucks, its pretty hard to beat a little rig like this. Pretty classic pulling up to a spot off road in a mini truck when everyone else is in fully built Raptors and full size trucks. That and you never have to worry about bringing a ramp because the tailgate is like 12" off the ground.![]()

Here is the link to one of the ads in case anybody else is interested in buying any of them.
Where is that truck been hiding that is beautiful
When you move out on your 18th birthday and can paint your truck however you want. 72' Chevy LUV (Izusu powered)
My first vehicle was an early 70s Ford (Mazda) Courier. My next vehicle was a 1980 Toyota short bed 4x4. I love old school compact trucks but I'm over 6 feet and the painful truth is that they were very tight and uncomfortable. Also....anyone ever try to fit a 1-DIN head unit into an early 80s Toyota truck? Yeah naw yeah.....🤦♂️
Yup, had the same exact truck...think it musta had around half million miles on it with not one problem. Living in NE it rusted to shit.
90 CR, 91 Yota. Carlsbad upper pits. Before "EZ ups" became popular
