I wouldn't say everyone on the right is racist, but the times in my life when someone has used the n word in a very derogatory way around me or when someone has rejected welcoming people of other races or sexual orientations into their family, those people have mostly been to the right politically.
LL, I'm going to push back on that a bit. Not sure how you can extrapolate Trump legitimized them. People that are racist are just that. They have the same 2 choices that you or I do when voting for president. They will vote and support the least liberal option because that's who they are. While they may believe someone is racist, that doesn't make it so. The may even celebrate certain actions trying to promote a racist agenda while the liberals try to claim, that's a racist agenda and it in fact has nothing to do with racism. It all depends on the lens you are looking through. I personally align with the policies that Trump is working for. I like that he doesn't let the liberal machine overrun him. He fights back which the Rs NEVER did. They were afraid of the press. But his policies threaten the traditional power base so the only thing the liberals can do is try to tear down the person Trump vs the agenda of Trump. This was a stupid thing that nobody had any business posting. Let alone the person driving the agenda I want worked on. He needs to stay on social media as that's a direct line to the public, but he needs to NOT commit unforced errors. He has limited time as it is, use it wisely.

I understand what you mean by this post, Ive grown up in the south too. I actually admire you for your transparency on things and respect most of what you post here. But to me its very naive to assume only white people are seriously racist. Make no mistake, many black people are the exact same way behind closed doors against whites. (and no, I didnt say ALL) but if we are going to be completely honest here, lets lay all the cards out. Im all for calling out ALL human flaws and foibles, but why are only pointing fingers at only one group of violators.
Theres plenty of racism going around, and its not only one group doing it.
I’ve been in So Ca. my whole life, we grew up hearing racist jokes, Polak jokes N word jokes, Mexican jokes, etc. But never heard those terms besides being used in a joke. Did that make our parents closet racists ? Eeeh probably by today’s standards I guess ? We were also taught that everyone is the same regardlessof skin color, even though we overhear all those jokes. The people who I’ve met that are racist and don’t hide it are on the right though I’ll give you that but it’s not “everyone”. I like Dinger212’s post. We need candidates that help push the opposite sides more towards the middle, trying to work together. Not a wedge that keeps driving them further apart to the extreme edge of either side with no room for compromise, If that makes any sense. Sometimes I think an alien attack from another planet is about the only thing that will bring us all together as a race, the human race.

Trump legitimizes it by confirming and expressing he shares the same views and if the president can express it so can I. Ours kind of the same argument the right uses against trans people and drag shows etc.
Remember when conservatives were up in arms over Obama wearing a tan suit? My oh my how far they’ve gone.
If you're looking for racism, you'll find a way to find "racism" whether it's there or not. I find it kind of funny when they read statements from Obama to college kids and tell them it's Trumps words and they are outraged until they are told the truth. Or when they read Trump's words to college kids and tell them it's from an Obama speech and they cream their pants until they are told it's really Trump's words. However, the media goes with the old "if you say it enough it becomes the truth" operating procedure. Just remember prior to Trump becoming Republican, the media loved him. Did he become "racist" when he declared himself republican?

It’s human nature to be suspicious of those who are “different”, and stereotypes evolve from those tendencies. And this is not the exclusive domain of whites.
Racism in the strictest sense requires economic & legal power enforcement. Our history is rife with examples of whites imposing their will on minorities, which is also not unique to the United States. But it’s a cultural philosophy that takes generations to change.
This is a very normal thing that legitimizes peoples "view" that Trump is racist. This is the type of thing you hear over and over to make you believe Trump is racist. When you hear it enough, for many people it becomes what they believe. And then any tidbit is just confirmation to what they believe.
"Maryland’s Democratic governor, Wes Moore, just proved that again in spectacular fashion. Moore went on CNN’s State of the Union on Sunday and suggested his skin color might explain why he didn’t get an invite to a White House dinner with governors hosted by President Donald Trump.
“It’s not lost on me that I’m the only black governor in this country, and I find that to be particularly painful, considering the fact that the president is trying to exclude me from an organization that not only my peers have asked me to help to lead, but then also a place where I know I belong in,” Moore said.
The problem: Moore wasn’t excluded because of race; he was excluded because he’s a Democrat.
As Politico noted, “Trump had already announced that the traditionally bipartisan winter meeting between the NGA and White House would include only Republican governors.”
Obama was very well spoken and did it with a subtlety that Trump is truly incapable of, but make no mistake about him ushering in the current state of politics. He normalized identity politics that have led to all the polarization we have now. He'd end his speech with some well rehearsed line about bringing everyone together after he spent the entire speech prior to that talking about the haves and have nots, minorities not having equal shot in life, wall st vs main st, clingers, etc.....
Obama also blamed Bush for things constantly even when running for reelection 4 years later. He used the phrase "the mess I inherited" all the time. Again, did it more tactfully than trump is capable of, but absolutely did the thing.
Ironically, Obama would be considered a right wing bigot by the left today. Want to see a liberal get really mad? Remind them that Obama was elected after stating publicly that marriage should be a union between a man and a woman.
Coincidentally, republicans are doing things that would have been considered liberal back in the day such as supporting more unitary form of government. Also trade policies which many consider a tax.
Back to main topic, only trump knows if it was intended to be racist. But most agree it was poor taste for leader of a country.
Said to myself I wouldn't post on here again but here I am. So if Trump is a racist and intended to post that why was it pulled off immediately? You can spin anyway you want but common sense says it wasn't watched in it's entirety before posting it
I wonder(not really) how many under age girls Tommy got drunk and fucked over the years? I don't think I'll let this dumb fuck influence my views. He's definitely not any more honorable than Donald Trump. They can both fuck right off.
Trump puts Trump first. He’s indifferent to skin color as long as that color exhibits blind allegiance. Dissent of even 1% is not tolerated, at least publicly.
Trump’s public persona differs from his more quiet self, but he cannot break character at this point. While his base may be shrinking, those remaining become more resolute. After a decade-plus of defending what’s increasingly indefensible, there’s no going back.
I don’t see race mentioned in this. Maybe you think “illegal” is a race?
It’s not. And not all illegals are black or brown.
Matti… I am soooo glad you posted this.
I think Tommy boy is the most intelligent person in the world.
You’ve changed me into a moronic liberal with this one single post!!!!
THANKS!!!

We're all racists in the eyes of these fools.
And fredo99 is doing his best to emulate another tard, who's no longer here, who's only reply was to call out racism.
Not to mention doormatti who can't post anything without a half a page of Instagram bullshit.

You ever consider most people align with the policies and Trump just happens to be the only one that follows through with implementation of those policies? Our jobs have been shipped overseas for decades, our borders had holes the size of Texas, our superpower status was diminishing, our government was giving out tax dollars to NGOs like candy. Do I think Hayden Deegan is the most likeable person? Not so much but if I were a team manager, you can bet your last dollar I'd want him riding for me because he gives me the best chance of reaching my goals, winning.
TM
Bingo !!!
Been saying that since his previous term.
Over the top bombastic.
But the only one who isn't up their grabbing ever dollar, and vestige of power they can get their grubby hands on.
You seem to be paying attention quite a bit. 5 comments in this forum , and 3 today alone.
This Instagram post would be more persuasive if it came from someone who wasn't sued for sexual assault 3 weeks ago.
If you say it enough it becomes the truth is trumps entire platform dude.
Yes, but the left will say as probably this governor will, that Trump did that knowing that he was the only black governor and being a democrat had nothing to do with it.
Racism is a state of mind. One person thinking they are superior to another based on a race difference. You can be racist AF and not have any upper hand at all against someone of another race. (Archie Bunker caricature perhaps)
Racism in action, however, can take many forms. Some of which are the ones you cited and completely valid. But there are plenty of other racially motivated actions done against whites, that are motivated solely on color of skin too. It may not be economic or other things you mentioned, but it happens and some are completely lethal. (ie Iryna Zarutska et. al.)
So again, Im not trying to squabble or let anyone off the hook for their undesirable traits, but its not a fair discussion to talk about 'racism' if we arent going to be completely honest about where it exists. Regardless if anyone is acting on it or not.
This is one of the biggest issues. You’re not a trump lover or a “hardcore liberal” with no gradient in between. You can be your own person somewhere in the middle and not defend someone making black people into an AI video as the POTUS and posting it online then defend it.
You can be a conservative with a Brain and a liberal with a brain and moderation. It’s not black and white
I very much agree that Trump has delivered on multiple fronts. We just have different levels of acceptable behavior. I cannot ask my children to be kind, courteous, and respectful while simultaneously supporting Trump, because for me the policies and the person are a package deal.
The democrats have been forcing candidates since 1968, read a fucking book maybe. Neither party cares about you, at all. It is about control.
Is it just me or is this board starting to shift left? A year ago it was all supporting trump but the last few months if you go by up and down votes it sure seems to have swung the other way. I know when I talk to a lot of my friends who did vote for him they are now saying they regret their decision. Even more so if they deal with importing products.
