I’m in the camp of I’d rather not hear either of them on the podium. They’re both cringey for different reasons. On a side note I find myself completely tuned out on 250s this season so far. It’s not even just that one guy is running away as much as it’s just kinda boring all the way through the pack. Or at least what’s been televised anyway. Feel like the  East/West split has run its course. I’d much rather see the best on 250s race every weekend.

I don't dislike Macadoo, but have definitely noticed he's selling an image real hard when he's on the podium. He might 100% be that image, but he's pitching the hell out of it up there.

The rest of the field could learn a thing or 2 about a thing or 2 from Danger Boy!
Out work your competition, Block out all negativity, Don’t get too friendly with fellow competitors, Stay focused on race day, Leave nothing on the table at the end of the night. This kid has put on a clinic the last 4 weeks. He’s a Team owners Dream! Mitch would love to have Danger Boy !

Mcadoos interviews are often heartfelt and refreshing but MAN he needs to chill on the sister thing. He makes it like she's some decorated war hero who's been held captive for 6 years lol.

I get it, you love and miss your sister but she doesn't need to be the theme of every interview about how you just did in your dirt bike race.

Worth noting, the world is definitely not full of Deegans.

And I agree, Mcadoo is a class act.

Before anyone gets their panties in a bunch, I thought it was funny, and I’m glad the broadcast is finally giving these LCQ winners their due.

Yaa that was cool, that was that kids first time up there. Cam does this every time he’s up there, that’s the difference for me.

Seems like he’s just a kid who never won a Loretta’s title and fought his way to where he’s at and is thankful to be there.

Some of the things you folks are choosing to nitpick are petty and weird.

That balls out moment was for sure one for the ages. 😂

His crash at Atlanta and then lining up again to get on the podium is also one of the baddest moments I've ever seen. I don't think anybody questions his toughness. Doesn't mean we have to love his grateful speech every single time, right?

If your daddy is rich and gives you every opportunity to succeed, then don’t blow the opportunity.

I absolutely despise HD. Used to like his dad until I saw what kind of a brat he raised and after he cornered that kid at LL a few years ago over the claiming rule.

But one thing I have to tip my cap to both of them on is that they don’t waste opportunities and capitalize when opportunity presents itself.

Good, so it's not just me cringing everytime they come up with a "we didn't have money back then" rider story. I was also very fortunate to grow up riding and racing dirt bikes as a kid and I've seen all kind of families. Some families for sure make more sacrifices than others, no question about it. But if you can afford going riding or to races every weekend, you're not BROKE. In some rider segments they make it sound like they had to grow up in slums

You're not wrong here.. Actually felt bad yesterday for Craig. It's racing and shit like that can happen and that for sure wasn't his intention. Someone here posted that he defended himself on social media because some degenerates were probably already in his DMs. Tomac has every right to be pissed after a race like that, but saying Craig took him out like it was intentionally wasn't that cool.

This is definitely Cam’s normal personality. I don’t think he’s trying to sell an image, he’s just being himself.

Who said "broke"? By definition, if one can afford to race MX consistently, that family has expendable income.

I think he believes he's playing with house money bc he almost didn't make it. Alessi gave him a break in smx next and then Honda and then PC. But they were all sorta skin of the teeth things (in his mind). I think he's worked his way to where he is more than anyone else in the top ten. Even Yoder (I think?) was considered a higher level amateur.

Which makes deegans comments about ppl not working as hard as he obviously all the cringier.

Macadoos belief is probably self limiting at this point but he has reason to be thankful (if u believe In disparity of natural talent and single mother households being at a disadvantage)

You're not wrong about the negativity bit, but This is the lance Armstrong model (who paradoxically cf macadoo was also raised poor and by a single mother). You're always right and everyone is your enemy until they submit to you. It worked out exceedingly well for him until it didn't. If he woulda compromised and given floyd landis a ride, floyd wouldn't have turned on him.

Worked for Ricky too, but he doesn't have alot of fans/friends these days. How long did it take him to makeup with Matthes? Oh yea when he had something he needed to promote...

If you want to beat Deegan you are going to have to work harder than he is. What other way is there to beat him???

They may not like him, but they respect him a lot.

Recognizing his riding skills, is a long ways from respect.

Sometimes It means that they have the cash flow necessary to cover the minimum payments on the, often times, high interest debt that is taken on to cover the racing.

Just because the truck, bike, house, and lifestyle seems like someone has money doesn’t necessarily mean they aren’t broke. It just means they have the cash flow necessary to keep things from crumbling down.

Oh, I agree. He's had to bite, scratch, and claw his way to get where he is and blow his body up at times, and he knows he's not guaranteed a good career ahead of him, so I feel like he's doing whatever he can to stay a fan favorite/in the public eye to have just that little bit more leverage to make money in the sport. It's just kind of a blurred line between highlighting his real life/situation and trying to manufacture it. Like I said, I don't dislike him at all, just find it a little ham fisted at times. How many times do we see his sister featured vs. how many times we heard about the Lawrences struggling to put food on the table, Kenny's arm, Craig "struggling", etc.

I just thought this interaction might be funny for anyone on here so I'm going to share it. My wife doesn't watch the races with me. She's tried to give a damn but just can't be arsed. Fair enough.

She walks through and sees McAdoo crying on the podium and goes "Oh wow, he's emotional. Did he win the whole thing?"  And I go, "Nah, he just got 3rd tonight." And she responded with something like "Oh, so why is he acting like that?" and I told her "he's been racing for a while and has a long story I guess" and she goes "Well tell me it because I thought he was on the podium the other weekend. Does that person next to him have cancer or something?"

I gave up. I'm glad McAdoo is thankful but for fucks sake. I think everyone understands you want to race for a living.

Then definitely don't show her Alessi finally winning a heat raceSmile

This is some of the stuff that bothers me the most. These riders have no idea what struggle is. They think because they didn't grow up at a training facility that they came from nothing.

There was a segment with Webb during the broadcast that made me roll my eyes so hard, where he was talking about how little he had growing up and if he didn't make it he'd have to go work at a surf shop (owned by his parents.)

If motocross was as accessible as football is Jett would be getting lapped. Every rider that is out there would not be there if they didn't have rich parents that supported their careers.
