I just thought this interaction might be funny for anyone on here so I'm going to share it. My wife doesn't watch the races with me. She's tried to give a damn but just can't be arsed. Fair enough.
She walks through and sees McAdoo crying on the podium and goes "Oh wow, he's emotional. Did he win the whole thing?" And I go, "Nah, he just got 3rd tonight." And she responded with something like "Oh, so why is he acting like that?" and I told her "he's been racing for a while and has a long story I guess" and she goes "Well tell me it because I thought he was on the podium the other weekend. Does that person next to him have cancer or something?"
I gave up. I'm glad McAdoo is thankful but for fucks sake. I think everyone understands you want to race for a living.

I can see both sides of it of his podium speeches. In one way I’m just like damn man hold it together and quit giving us all the reasons you wanna be here. We all know he wants it, clearly, he’s fourth in all time 250 podiums.
Then I realize… Cam has been through a lot of hurdles In his young career and seems like he’s always kinda on the bubble of losing the PC ride. This is also a bit of a fresh start for him beings he didn’t race for a year and it still being early in the season. He also works his ass off to be where he’s at, with no corner cutting. So when he gets on the box, that’s his time to express his feelings to the world and to share his journey with us. 🤙

I’m in the camp of I’d rather not hear either of them on the podium. They’re both cringey for different reasons. On a side note I find myself completely tuned out on 250s this season so far. It’s not even just that one guy is running away as much as it’s just kinda boring all the way through the pack. Or at least what’s been televised anyway. Feel like the East/West split has run its course. I’d much rather see the best on 250s race every weekend.
